Iraqi Federal Police Chief, Raed Shaker Jawdat, has announced that Iraqi Federal Police troops killed a military commander of ISIS in Mosul, Abu al-Baraa al-Daghistani, and his assistant, Abu Abdul Rahman al-Zamari, during a military operation in the Fifth Bridge area in the strategic Old Mosul district yesterday.
Separately, Iraqi Army announced the end of operations in the Thawra district on the right side of Mosul after Iraqi forces had captured the entire district. Iraqi troops began operations in the Znjili district north of the Old Mosul. Iraqi forces capture 3 ISIS terrorists during the operation.
From its side, ISIS claimed that the group’s members had destroyed an Iraqi army tank and killed or wouded a number of Iraqi soldiers as result of a VBIED attack in Al-Thawra.
ISIS also claimed that 7 Iraqi SWAT officers were killed by the US-led collation after an airstrike hit them in Al-Thawra.
The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) announced that it had managed to kill 5 ISIS terrorists attempting to infiltrate the area west of Mosul from Tel Abtah. The PMU also managed to damage an ISIS VBIED and seize it.

Yesterday, the Iraqi Intelligence seized a VBIED car in the western part of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. The car was taken to a safe area and detonated.
