The Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have been rapidly advancing in the Tal Afar countryside since the liberation of this important city from ISIS last weekend.
The army and the PMU have encircled the ISIS-held area of Ayadhiyah and liberated the Kasik base. As soon as Ayadhiyah is liberated, government forces will focus on the Camp Numaan area. With the liberation of the Camp Numaan and the nearby points the entire Tal Afar pocket will be liberated.
Meanwhile, Kurdish Peshmerga forces have arrested 200 ISIS members who were allegedly hiding among the displaced civilians in the area northwest of Tal Afar.
According to reports, about 2,000 civilians have fled to the Peshmerga-held area north of Tal Afar as a result of the clashes between government forces and ISIS.
Wow this was fast! So where is the next location to liberate?
