The 45th Brigade of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) launched 50 rockets at positions of ISIS around the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani in the middle Euphrates River Valley in eastern Syria on February 7.
“According to the intelligence’s information, ISIS fighters were planning to infiltrate the Iraqi border,” the PMU media wing’s reporter said explaining the reason behind the rocket strike.
The PMU carried out several similar attacks on ISIS positions in eastern Syria during the last two months. These attacks are mainly aimed at preventing the terrorist group’s fighters from sneaking into Iraq territory.
According to several sources, the PMU strikes are coordinated with the Damascus government and possibly with the US-led coalition and its proxy, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is leading the attack on ISIS in the Euphrates Valley.
These cross-border strikes are effectively preventing the remaining ISIS fighters from entering Iraq. Despite this, the PMU leadership stated recently that Iraqi forces are ready to enter eastern Syria if the terrorist group launches any attack from there.

Hey – that’s not fair!. CENTCOM has already chosen Iraq as the destination for the new head-chopper escape routes and their future homes. The U.S. was sending them across the Euphrates into the Syrian desert, but the damn SDF citizen/hostages kept escaping across the river, too.
Destabilizing Iraq with head-choppers is the last chance for CENTCOM to remain relevant and to justify occupying that country. If the Iraqi PMUs are just going to kill Iraqi-bound head-choppers without U.S. authorization, then the whole U.S. Ponzi of Death scheme might collapse. We better send Bolton out there to manage the death and destruction.
CENTCOM is either unwilling or unable to protect Israel if they can’t even manage a simple ISIS relocation and country destabilization. For crying’ out loud, it’s not like they’re fighting Houthis!
It was same at Mosul, PMU, NOT US-led forces, kept the ring tight and “ISIS” from escaping to fight in Syria.

join the boycott, divestment and sanction movement now and do not forget to include films with scarlett johansen and jaffa oranges and and and anything ex israel. you can’t go wrong since israel needs the world but the world does not need israel – on the contrary the world would be pleased to see israel be de-recognized and discontinued. it’s about time for the illegal settlement to be finished off for good.
