The Iraqi military and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have launched a large-scale security operation, codenamed “Operation Will of Victory,” against the remaining ISIS cells in the western part of the country, Maj. Gen. Abdul Amir Yar Allah, deputy commander of the joint Iraqi operations, announced on July 7.
“Operation Will of Victory is designed to clear the areas between Salahuddin, Nineveh and Anbar, it will last for days and will involve large units of the military, the popular mobilization and the tribal mobilization,” Maj. Gen. Yar Allah said in a press release.
Iraq’s Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi praised the new operation that will cover a large region, including the border with Syria. On Twitter, Abdul-Mahdi assured that Iraqi forces will achieve “decisive victory” over ISIS’ remnants.
Few hours after the beginning of the operation, the PMU’s media wing announced that Iraqi forces had destroyed a large hideout and military camp of ISIS cells south of the area of Baa’j in Nineveh.
Operation Will of Victory is one of the biggest anti-terrorism operations launched by Iraqi forces in 2019. Previous operations led to a significant improvement of the security situation in the western part of the country, including the border area with Syria.

I do hope that the Iraqi forces are aware that they are fighting a proxy army of those who were responsible for destroying their country during the 80’s. Now this proxy army wants to hide out in Iraq whilst they continue to destroy Syria.
Iraq and Syria need to put any differences aside if they are to survive as independent countries, otherwise they will be played like fiddles. The US/nato need to be gone from their camps in Syria and Iraq. They are merely safe havens for future ISIS/cia operatives.
The Iraqi PMU’s, Popular Mobilization Units (force) are a direct beneficiary of Iran’s IRGC. They answer to Maj. Gen. Sulemenei, who answers directly to Ayatollah Khamenei , Iran’s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. They are really conducting maneuvers due to the escalation of possible war in the region, should Iran be foolishly attacked, or its national interests or allies, like Hezbollah.
If their is an attack on Iran, I think the Iraqi PMU’s, Iraq’s Arab tribal configurations, volunteers and various armed groups will join their same partners in Syria and immediately join the fray. All U.S., British , French forces in the MENA region will be attacked and destroyed, along with many U.S. naval assets.
The Golf Monarchies will be toppled like dominoes , after they are put out of the oil and gas business by way of too many to count ballistic missile bombardments on their infrastructures. No more civilian air traffic, no more maritime traffic in that sensitive part of the world.
It will culminate into a major global conflagration, forever changing the way the Middle East, MENA region looks for centuries to come. The U.S., British, and French expelled, and the Russians and Chinese (see OBR Silk Roads) to quickly come in and fill the void. The region, except for tiny Israel, will prosper.
