The Iraqi army and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have taken control of the areas along the Tigris south of the strategic town of Shiqat.
These areas had been controlled by the ISIS terrorist group. However, the Iraqi forces secured them under the banner of ongoing operations against the terrorist group near the ISIS-controlled town of Mosul.
