The Iraqi Armed Forces and the country’s volunteer forces have shot down a spy drone of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, as well as killed its notorious commander in the province of Nineveh.
A drone, which was spying on the Iraqi security forces over al-Rakayee region in the province of Nineveh in western Iraq, was shot down by the country’s volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi), the Iraqi popular forces reported.
At the same time, an Iraqi airstrike killed notorious commander of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, Ebrahim Mohammad Halil, also known as Abu Suleiman, and destroyed six terrorists’ armored and bomb-laden vehicles in the province of Nineveh in the northern side of al-Qayyara.
According to Iraqi military sources, Halil was the IS commander in Southern Mosul.
The sources also noted that the terrorist group has planned to lay a large number of landmines, explosive traps and bombs across vital roads to Mosul, airport runway and airport buildings in order to confront an impending large-scale operation of the Iraqi government forces, aimed to liberate the city of Mosul.
On October 3, a building of a radio station of the IS, located in the city of Mosul, came under raids of the Iraqi Air Force. As result, the building was destroyed and all terrorists, who were inside it, were killed.
So the civilian militia have anti-air? I wonder what kind of anti-air they are equipped with? I hope good stuff. In case the USSA or UK forces start using helicopters on the Iraqis, I hope they are very able to shoot them down in their ongoing anti-terror operations against the terrorist-Zionist-forces.
