According to Iraqi volunteer forces, they have shot down a drone that was spying on the Arab country’s security forces in al-Jarayeshi region in Al-Anbar province in Western Iraq.
No further detail has yet been released on the incident.
An Israeli Hermes drone was shot down in the vicinity of Baghdad Airport in last year August, the second such loss in less than three days after another Israeli pilotless drone of the same model was shot down by Iranian troops in the Central parts of the country.
Since June 2014, Iraq has been observing ISIS terrorist activities. The US-led coalition started its operations allegedly hitting ISIS, although many believe ISIS is a creation of the west.
However, the 66-member coalition has been failing to control ISIS terrorism, when a concerted push by Iraqi forces are dealing terrorists and forcing it out of the central city of Ramadi, the capital of the western Anbar Province.
