In details, the PMU’s 2nd Brigade arrested a suicide bomber driving a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) while he was trying to cross the al-Muazafyn checkpoint around al-Fallujah. The terrorist was reportedly planning to target the civilians in center of the city.

“The 2nd Brigade’s engineer unit managed to dismantle the VBIED, which contained a large quantity of explosives, including C4,” the PMU media wing reporter said.

A day after the incident, Iraqi sources identified the suicide bomber as 14-year old Osman Ahmed Hammad Saleh. The PMU handed the terrorist over to the intelligence office of the Iraqi military’s 14th Brigade.

Saleh was a member of ISIS, which is well-known for recruiting minors. The terrorist group even has a dedicated unit, Cubs of the Caliphate, for training minors on terrorist activities.
