On March 8, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) retook two more villages – Tel al-Khazraf and Hmeidan – from the ISIS terrorist group in the area west of Mosul.
Pro-PMU sources claim that a high number of ISIS terrorists were killed in the clashes. However, no photo or video confirmation of these statements are available.
The PMU’s manpower is estimated to be 150,000 fighters. In 2016, the PMU was officially incorporated into the Iraqi Armed Forces.
