On September 4, the pro-Iranian Islamic Resistance in Iraq – ‘Ashab al-Kahf attacked two convoys carrying logistic supplies and equipment for the US-led coalition in Iraq.
The first convoy came under attack in the southern province of al-Diwaniyah. ‘Ashab al-Kahf said that the convoy was targeted with “several weapons.” At least one truck was completely destroyed. A video of the attack was released by the group.
Just a few minutes after the first attack, the second convoy was targeted with several explosive devices as it was passing in the central province of Babylon. Two trucks burned down as a result of the attack.
‘Ashab al-Kahf and other pro-Iranian factions in Iraq have been attacking US-led coalition supply convoys and bases for more than a year now. These attacks are meant as a response to the assassination of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Deputy-Commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units, and Commander of Iran’s Quds Force, Qassim Soleimani.
Last week, a rocket attack targeted several convoys carrying logistic supplies and equipment for the US-led coalition in southern Iraq near the border line with Kuwait.
The US-led coalition denies any links to the supply convoy being attacked in Iraq. Earlier this week, a spokesman for the coalition called reports on these attacks “misinformation and propaganda”.
These attacks will not likely stop until US announce a plan to withdraw all of its troops from Iraq. Washington claims that its troops in Iraq are on a “training mission”.
sonya like i said i will do everything i will clean your toliet with my tongue PLEEEASWE GIVE ME THA MONEYY!!!! i have no future here in ukraine!!!
You are too generous. Ukropnazis will be fertilizer like their fellow CIAisis brothers in Syria.
I would have expected an increase in these attacks after the US fled Afghanistan.
Are these attacks just insurance scams?
We can see from the result in Afghanistan just how effective US “training missions” are.
Only two? Lazy Sunday…
