Iraqi Resistance Vows To Resume Attacks Against U.S. Forces, Announces Strike On Israel

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) suggested that it would resume attacks on United States forces in the country and across the region, extending what it deemed a final opportunity for “occupying forces” to exit “sacred lands” in a statement released on February 9.

Recent events have unveiled a stark reality to the Iraqi people, allies, and other parties, the statement reads, adding that the U.S. was showing no signs of weariness or deceit.

The statement said that the U.S. violated so-called “rules of engagement” when it bombed the Popular Mobilization Forces in al-Qaim, Akashat, and other locations and later killed Katai’ib Hezbollah commander Abu Baqir al-Saadi. “The occupying enemy forces… only understand the language of weapons,” the group noted.

Washington said that its recent strikes on Iraq and Syria were a response to the January 28 drone attack on Tower 22 base in Jordan which claimed the lives of three American service members and wounded more than 40 others. The IRI, an umbrella group of Iranian-backed armed factions, was blamed for the attack.

The IRI vowed in its statement that “painful strikes” and “wide-ranging attacks” would be carried out in their efforts to push out U.S. forces from Iraq.

In a call to arms, the statement urged its trusted allies to “acknowledge the faction’s profound understanding of the cunning nature of the enemy, the battlegrounds they navigate, and the tactics required to humble the adversary.”

The IRI claimed responsibility for dozens of attacks that targeted U.S. forces in Iraq and neighboring Syria after the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and Washington’s unwavering support for it.

Katai’ib Hezbollah suspended operations against U.S. forces following the attack on Tower 22. However, it appears that the suspension is coming to an end.

U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria were not the only target for the IRI. The group also launched several attacks against Israel. On February 9, it announced in a statement that it had struck “a vital target” on the coast of the Dead Sea in response to Israeli “massacres” against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The Israeli military and Hebrew media didn’t report any incident in the area however.

Israel has not yet announced any response to the IRI’s repeated attacks. However, some strikes that targeted the Iraqi-Syrian border in recent months were blamed on the Israeli military.

Overall, the U.S. has clearly failed to deter the IRI. The group appears to be on the brink of waging an all-out war against U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria.

i mean all the settlers said the same thing… they aren’t different.

“we are only defending ourselves” start killing civilian and start settlement projects right after.

“we want peace” start poking their neighbors and act as the victim 24/7. btw zionist settlers would sent their trucks into jordan, egypt, syria and lebanon = invading those countries. they got sick of zionist settlers and attack them and zionists would act as the victim. go and read about it.
