The Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) have been conducting military operations south of Mosul, the last major ISIS stronghold in Iraq. These operations is the first step of the long-awaited operation to liberate Mosul.
Although Iraqi officials have not announced a timetable for moving on the city, media reports argue Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi wants to push into Mosul by October.
