Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division – backed by Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF), and several Iraqi paramilitary units – imposed full control over Bashkoy-Rityan Road after seizing the imperative Soap Factory from the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen.
The capture of Bashkoy-Rityan Road has allowed for the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies to advance to the rebel stronghold of Hayyan, where they Islamists have enjoyed control of this village for over 3 years.
