ISIS announced on August 19 that its cells had attacked Syrian military contractors working with Russian forces in the southern Raqqa countryside.
The terrorist group’s news agency, Amaq, said the attack had taken place near the town of Resafa. At least two contractors were killed. The agency shared photos of the victims, confirming its claims.

This was the second attack by ISIS on the southern Raqqa countryside this month. Last week, the group captured then executed a civilian man near Resafa for being a member of the Ismaili minority.
ISIS terrorists are apparently sneaking to the southern countryside of Raqqa from the Homs desert, which has become a stronghold for the group.
In the last few months, the terrorist group launched dozens of attacks from the Homs desert on government forces in eastern Homs, southern Raqqa and western Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian military and its allies are yet to take decisive action against ISIS terrorists in the Homs desert. The terrorists’ threat is growing. According to recent reports, the terrorists are receiving support from U.S.-backed fighters in al-Tanaf in Syria’s southeastern region.
Another day of US/ISIS/SDF collaboration to make Syria a quagmire for Russia and a bloody mess for Syrians. Meanwhile from the Kremlin they keep repeating that only “political negotiation with our Western partners” and not unrestricted military force is the solution.

Killing Russians seems to be a daily occurrence these days and Russia doesn’t seem to have any desire left to fight back or lean on Turkey. Snake face and Putin had a meeting last week and agreed to work on the Jihadis. Turkey then immediately sent in another large convoy of Turk military to target the Russians. Putin won’t be able to keep taking humiliation after humiliation back home before the demand is to pull out. Against all odds Turkey seems to have defeated Russia. As bad as the past has been in Syria I now fear the future even more.
