On November 22, ISIS cells in the Homs Desert took advantage of a sand storm and launched a large attack on positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Iranian forces west of the strategic T2 station near the Syrian-Iraqi border.
A local source told SouthFront that the SAA and its allies lost several soldiers during the attack. However, the terrorist group’s fighters failed to capture any position.
The Syrian pro-opposition Step News Agency said that warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) conducted several airstrikes on ISIS gatherings and hideouts around the T2 stations in the last few hours.
This was the second attack by the remaining ISIS fighters in the Homs desert this month. On November 18, the terrorist group’s fighters attacked positions of the SAA and Iranian forces between the city of al-Mayadin and the town of al-Kashmah in the southern Deir Ezzor countryside.
These attacks will likely force the SAA to launch a large-scale military operation to neutralize ISIS fighters in the Homs desert soon. Any such operation will be backed by the Russian Aerospace Forces.

It is clear to everyone with even limited grasp of reality is that US morons are supporting their desperate ISIS and other Wahhabi groups in eastern Euphrates valley. US occupation forces are openly supporting ISIS attacks and even provide artillery and air cover. US “special forces” units are attached to ISIS and other terror groups on the ground and provide targets, intelligence support and even logistics. US army helicopters regularly ferry the headchoppers from one place to another.
