At least 26 people were killed on June 16 when a bomb attack hit a meeting between Taliban and government forces in the eastern city of Nangarhar during an unprecedented ceasefire for the Eid holiday.
According to a spokesman for the provincial governor of Nangarhar, Attaullah Khogyani, Taliban members, Afghan security forces and civilians were killed in the incident.
The local branch of ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack. It’s interesting to note that the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq said that the bombing hit “a a gathering of Afghan forces”.
Earlier in June, the Taliban and the Afghan Government reached a ceasefire agreement for the Eid holiday. The government also freed at least 46 Taliban prisoners and called on the Taliban to to extend the ceasefire.
Over the past year, the Taliban has achieved more military gains in its long-standing battle against the NATO and government forces. This and the June ceasefire initiative may signal that the sides are ready to start negotiations to reach a peaceful solution of the conflict.

The zionist scumbags have released their Isis terrorists on the people of Afghanistan, who are in the early stages of a peace process. That is something that they don’t want as it will put an end to their plundering of the natural resources and the drug trade.
ISIS is America, and it was the US that boosted the drug trade in Afghanistan, after the Taliban almost eradicated it.
