On Friday, ISIS announced that its fighters killed 7 Syrian soldiers and captured 3 others during an attack on Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions south of Ghanem al-Ali village in the southern Raqqa countryside.
ISIS also claimed that 11 Syrian soldiers were killed on Thursday in an attack of its fighters on the SAA positions near Ghanem al-Ali village where ISIS was trying to stop SAA advance towards the strategic Maadan town in the northwestern Deir Ezzor countryside.
In another development, large reinforcements of the so-called Caliphate Army arrived to support ISIS fighters in Maadan town during the past two days, according to opposition sources. The source added that Syrian and Russian Air Force warplanes continued bombing ISIS fighters in Maadan town and surrounding areas as well.
The SAA is expected to advance slowly in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside. The Deir Ezzor province is the last ISIS strongholds in Syria, and there are 10000 ISIS fighters in the Euphrates valley in the southern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the US-led coalition.
Are we looking at condemned men, or by some miracle they get rescued? Prayers going out to them

The Syrian government coalition will try to get them out alive and uninjured if possible. If they can negotiate their release or find and rescue them. I’m sure that they will.
Russia needs to get some spetsnaz in there and bring them back home.
