On October 28, ISIS fighters recaptured the towns of al-Susah, al-Baghuz al-Fawqani and Muzan in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside. Thus the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have lost all the positions it had managed to liberate since the beginning of its military operation in the Ephrata Valley more than a month ago.
The ISIS-linked news agency, Amaq, is yet to provide further information on this important development. However, we know that the terrorist group launched a series of successful attacks on US-backed forces in the Euphrates Valley over the last two weeks.
Qassim Musleh, a commander in the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), confirmed to the al-Mayadeen TV that the SDF’s positions in the Euphrates Valley are collapsing and held the U.S. responsible for that. According to Musleh, the Iraqi military and the PMU are currently on high alert as ISIS is approaching the Iraqi border.
“There is an American plan to bring things back to square one in the battle against ISIS … The U.S. halted its support for the SDF, which facilitated ISIS advance,” Musled told the Lebanese channel.
A day earlier, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the US-led coalition paused its aerial operations in the Euphrates Valley, which allowed ISIS fighters to kill more than 41 fighters and commanders of the SDF within few hours.
Some Syrian activists said that the bad weather had forced the US-led coalition to slow down its operation. However, others believe that the U.S. is not really interested in ending ISIS presence in the Euphrates Valley because it is serving as an excuse to keep its troops in Syria.
ISIS OUT SMART …SDF..RECAPTURE 3 VILLAGES
outsmart?? r u on drugs??? the us military is helping isis, with food, logistics and weapons and manpower
I NOW , BUT IT WAS ISIS WHO CARRIED OUT THE OPERATION
ISIS is a construct of the zionist infested U.S. and ‘israel’. A monstrosity. Nothing more.
Ha! ISIS is ‘smart???’ Nope.
So funny that a ridiculously small pocket can defend for a year against SDF/US “operations” being in reality a support for these rats.
you got it right.
all BS The us military is helping isis in all possible ways…with arms, logistics and manpower…if isis is defeated then the us has a lot of questions to answer ie. wtf r they still doing in syria…please dont forget that the current us admin. is on thin ice on several foreign “interventions” like jemen, syria, iraq, afghanistan…
ISIS is a 100% mossad/cia operation ..and they are using it all oer the globe…foremost now in libya and afghanistan…..as mentioned by the russian military high command…the us military is transferring isis fighters from syria to afghanistan….hence the press conference by the taliban 3 weeks ago in which they clearly state that the us military airforce is giving isis air support when the taliban attack them.
its a cancer….the heads are in the usa , uk, and israel
This is the Great Proof that the US needs Daesh (ISIS) in order justify its Mission in Syria. This is both Humiliating and very exposing of the SDF’s capabilities. I’m extremely disappointed in the SDF. But at the same time. I’m not very surprised.
It should be obvious the US (and France?) is not interested in taking this area. The US has so much firepower it could completely destroy this area in a day. It is not happening.
Well, it was enough a good siege, as the Syrians are doing in al-Safa. Do any one remember the Homs siege?
The headline is an exaggeration. First this is a siege and will only the total elimination of ISIS forces will end it. Second the front line is a series of outposts in the middle of the desert, the convention that seizure of ground equals victory does not necessarily apply. Third is that these are tiny forces battling over scraps of desert, you could walk through the area and if the sentries don’t see you then you probably wouldn’t realize you were in a battlefield. Finally, ISIS has been receiving heavy losses and are depleting their food and ammunition, this siege will probably end around the same time and just as anti-climatically as the al-Safa siege.
