ISIS has carried out 206 attacks and killed 435 People in Syria since the start of the year, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said in a report released on August 5.
The London-based monitoring group said that 104 of the terrorist group’s attacks took place in Syria’s central region, which is controlled by government forces. The operations claimed the lives of 192 service members and pro-government fighters as well as 157 civilians. In addition, 20 terrorists were killed while taking part in the attacks.
35 of the attacks took place in the eastern Homs countryside, ten in the southern Raqqa countryside, 41 in the western and southern countryside of Deir Ezzor, 15 in the eastern Hama countryside and three in the southern countryside of Aleppo.
The remaining 102 attacks all took place in areas held by the United States-led coalition and its proxy, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in Syria’s northern and eastern regions according to the SOHR.
The attacks in the northern and eastern regions killed 12 civilians and 49 fighters of the SDF. Four terrorists were also killed during the attacks.
77 of the attacks that targeted SDF territory took place in the northern, eastern and southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. 12 others attacks took place in the governorate of Raqqa. There were also ten attacks in the governorate of al-Hasakah and three in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.
The information provided by the SOHR shows that ISIS has increased its operations across Syria. The reason behind this is likely the absence of any real coordination between the different sides battling the terrorist group.
While ISIS insurgency in Syria will likely continue in the near future, the group remains incapable of occupying any part of the country.

the terrorist attacks may happen in syrian government controlled regions but a full one third of that country is under us military occupation and interestingly, that’s where the attackers are able to move around freely. hmm.
