On August 12, an IED, which had been planted by ISIS cells, hit a vehicle of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near a checkpoint in the area of al-Muhavazah inside the city of Raqqa, according to the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq. The terrorist group claimed that the IED explosion destroyed the vehicle and killed two fighters of the SDF.
Furthermore, Amaq reported that ISIS cells killed two other fighters of the SDF in two separate attacks in the town of al-Mansurah in the western Raqqa countryside and near the town of al-Karamah in the eastern countryside of the governorate.
Last month, ISIS cells carried out a similar series of attacks against the Kurdish-dominated SDF in Raqqa. In response, the SDF’s security forces launched an operation in the northeastern governorate arresting dozens of suspects.
The new wave of attacks confirms that ISIS’ influence in the SDF-held areas in northeastern Syria is still strong, despite the claims of the US-led coalition and the SDF.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the neglect of the US coalition to rebuild Raqqa and Kurdish rule in general is why ISIS is still finding support in this area.
Right now they are rebuilding an important bridge for Eufrat there. The cemant ands iron came parashuted by Allh or what ?
If Your infoirmationlevel is that low, You should follow and until then just zip.
It would be nice with some more information then Amaq. They hardly connect with Syria.
Another acting performance by the ISIS ,zionist terrorists.Just another excuse to justify the illegal presence of zionist squatters in Syria.BUT the curtain will be coming down on their farcical show soon enough.
If USA needs a good excuse to remain in Syria, USA will find it or build it, not problem.
