At the late Hours of October 25, ISIS cells in the area of al-Safa, north of the governorate of al-Suwayda, handed over the bodies of 50 Syrian soldiers, who were killed during clashes there, to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), according to the Syrian news outlet Enab Baladi.
From its side, the Damascus government returned the bodies of 15 ISIS fighters and allowed 4 trucks carrying food and other supplies to enter al-Safa.
These steps are a part of the wider agreement to end the presence of the terrorist group in al-Safa and release more than 20 hostages, who were abducted by ISIS elements during a brutal attack in late July. Under the agreement, the first 6 hostages were released last week in exchange for 25 people affiliated with ISIS.
A source familiar with the situation told the al-Suwayda 24 blog that the U.S. is a part of the agreement with ISIS. According to the source, the US-led coalition released several ISIS members from its prisons in eastern Syria last week in the framework of the deal.
The Syria-based blog said that a disagreement between Russia and the U.S. is delaying the release of the second batch of hostages. While Russia wants the remaining ISIS fighters to withdraw to northern Hama, the U.S. wants to move them to the town of Hajin in the Euphrates Valley.
Over the past months, the US-led coalition has been actively using the ISIS presence in Hajin as a justification of its military presence in Syria because ISIS is still “not defeated”. The only problem is that the US-led coalition and its “partners” on the ground known as the Syrian Democratic Forces are not so hurrying to eliminate the Hajin pocket.
Our suspicions are confirmed. Russia, Syria and Iran have been fighting this small spec of ISIS for what seems to be a year. We wondered where the water, food, ammunition, drugs and money was coming from. Now we know ISIS just got 4 more trucks full from Russia Syria and Iran.

It was the Iraqis who initiated this offensive against Isis not the US at all, the US had to be dragged into this kicking and screaming by the Iraqis, who were demanding the US cooperate with them to help secure the border between Iraq and Syria. The Iraqis asked the US, Russia and the SAA to help secure the border last year but the US refused to cooperate so they did it themselves, within 3 month the SAA, Russia and the Iraqis managed to secure the border areas under their control, but the areas under US jurisdiction remained under Isis control. This year back in april the Iraqis once again asked the US to help them secure the border but once again the US refused to help them, so the Iraqis started this operation all by themselves. They informed and asked Assad for his permission, but failed to do the same for the US, and then without even coordinating the action with the US, began launching airstrikes against Isis in Al-Hasakah, this bold action by the Iraqis was the catalyst that eventually dragged the reluctant US into this fight, nothing else. And what have the US done since then. They successfully eradicated Isis in Al-Hasakah, killing less than 100 fighter and capturing just over 300, great job, the only problem left now is the 4600 Isis fighters that got away, I wonder where they are now. And now for the last 6 months or more, they’ve had 1500 Isis fighters trapped in a pocket 15 to 20 km wide and 30 km long, surrounded on all sides and trapped like rats in a drain pipe, and yet Isis is still managing to hold on somehow. You’re probably referring to Abu-Kamal where Isis fighters from both sides of the Euphrates are coordinating their attacks against the SAA. The group at Hajin coordinates with the group hiding near Al-Tanf when they attack Abu-Kamal, which means the US is also complicit in the attacks, due to the fact the attacks always originate from areas under strict US control, and that could only happen because the US actually allows and wants it to happen. Isis only exists south of the Euphrates thanks to the 55 km exclusion zone around the US base at Al-Tanf, they use this area as a sanctuary from the SAA when they have to, and also resupply and recruit from the refugee camp nearby, and all thanks to the LGBTQI controlled deep state of the US, Trump and Putin’s mortal enemies, but obviously not yours.
