ISIS has claimed responsibility for an explosion that targeted Turkish-backed militants in the northern countryside of Syria’s Aleppo.

The explosion, which took place late on October 16, targeted a checkpoint next to the town of Ihtaimla. The checkpoint was manned by militants from the 51st Division of the Syrian National Army 3rd Corps.

According to the North Press Agency and several other sources, at least five Turkish-backed militants were wounded in the explosion.

The Amaq news agency revealed in a press release on October 17, that ISIS terrorists had planted a heavy improvised explosive device inside the checkpoint.

ISIS cells resumed operations in the Turkish-occupied part of northern Aleppo in June following a U.S. drone strike that claimed the life of Fayz al-Akal, a prominent commander of the terrorist group.

So far, several Turkish-backed militants and prominent local figures have been killed in attacks by the terrorist group’s cells in northern Aleppo.

Isis just attacked the SNA did they, but half the SNA’s recruits are ex Isis fighters, so that means they’re actually killing their own people. :]
