During the last 40 days, ISIS fighters conducted more than fifteen attacks on several positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the eastern al-Suwayda countryside, according to an infographic which was released by the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq on July 18.
As a result of these attacks, ISIS fighters killed 120 personnel of the SAA, including four officers, and captured one other. Amaq also claimed that ISIS fighters destroyed four battle tanks, two BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) and ten vehicles of the SAA.
Syrian pro-government activists doubted ISIS’ claims, especially that Amaq didn’t present any photos or videos of the supposed operations. According to the activists, the terrorist group launched three attacks only this month. The SAA repelled all of them.
The SAA will likely resume its military operation against the remaining cells of ISIS in the eastern al-Suwayda countryside in the upcoming months. Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) are participating in the operation, according to pro-government sources.
ISIS is almost winning in Syria……???
It’s time for ISIS to go home, walk across the border back into ISisrael.
