On January 26, ISIS fighters continued attacking positions of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) around the village of al-Bahrah and east of the village of al-Shaafah village, according to the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq.
Amaq also reported that ISIS fighters killed three members of the SDF with IEDs south of the town of Gharanij. Moreover, an armored vehicle of the SDF was allegedly destroyed with an ISIS ATGM around the village of Abu Hassn.
In an infographic released by its newspaper al-Naba’a, ISIS claimed that its fighters have killed 185 members of the SDF and captured 8 others, since the beginning of their wide-scale attack against the US-backed force in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside on January 18. ISIS also claimed that its fighters have destroyed 8 vehicles of the SDF and captured several positions over the last week.
Meanwhile, the US-led coalition intensified its airstrikes against ISIS in the villages of al-Shaafah and al-Bahrah in order to pressure the remaining ISIS fighters in the town of Hajin, according to local sources. Amaq claimed that over 30 civilians including women and children were killed in the US-led coalition bombing.
The US-backed force will likely launch its attack on Hajin in the upcoming weeks. However, with ISIS fighters willing to defend their last foothold in the Euphrates Valley, the battle may be more complicated than the SDF expects.

Daesh are feeling frisky now that Ottomans have joined the battle to aid them.
It definitely looks that way; but do you not find it odd, that they suddenly seem to have more forces from somewhere + of course unlimited ammo ?.
It beggar’s belief that we all buy into the rhetoric that the US backed SDF are the good guys and the US backed IS are the bad guys.
Yes. Daesh has other support like NATO, Israel and Saudis.
BULLSHIT,just a bit of acting to justify the illegal presence of jewSA in SYRIA.
