On April 29, ISIS claimed that its cells in the southern governorate of Daraa assassinated a service member of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
According to the terrorist group’s news agency, Amaq, the soldier was targeted inside the town of Kiheel in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
“With aid from God Almighty, the Islamic State’s soldiers targeted a service member of the apostate Nusayris regime [ISIS’ term for the SAA] in the town of Kiheel in the eastern Daraa countryside with machine guns, which resulted in his death, praise be to God,” Amaq said in a short press release.
Local sources in Daraa didn’t report any incident inside or near Kiheel on April 29 or the day before. This indicates that ISIS claims are inaccurate.
In the last few weeks, ISIS cells carried out a series of attacks on Syrian service members in the northern and eastern Daraa countryside. Several soldiers and officers were assassinated by the terrorist group.
Several attacks also targeted Syrian intelligence personnel in the same parts of Daraa. Nevertheless, ISIS didn’t claim responsibility for any of them.
The deteriorating security situation in Daraa will likely force the Syrian military and security forces to take a direct action soon. Government forces could launch a large-scale operation against ISIS remnants and other radicals in the governorate.

LOL, that’s because most of them have been pro Iranian agents even if the were officially in the SAA, and Isis doesn’t bump off pro Iranian agents, another party does that. The Russian supported and totally loyal to Assad 5th army corps has just been moved to Daraa, so Iran is about to lose some influence in the area soon, and maybe a few more pro Iran SAA agents too, LOL. The 5th army corps is in Darra so the bodybags should start filling up quickly, and if you’re not pro Assad and have divided loyalties and also live in Darra, you’re going to be in big trouble now.
