ISIS Claims Its Cells Killed Or Wounded Over 130 Taliban Fighters In Less Than A Month

Illustrative image.

ISIS affiliate in Southern and Central Asia, the Islamic State – Khorasan Province (ISIS-K), revealed that its cells carried out 34 operations in Afghanistan between October 7 and November 2.

In an infographic released on November 5, the terrorist group’s al-Nabaa newspaper said that the operations included ten attacks with improvised explosive devices, 18 assassinations, three raids, three suicide attacks, eight attacks on vehicles and an attack on an electricity tower.

ISIS-K claimed that the operations left 644 people dead or wounded, including 129 fighters and eight commanders of the Taliban, six Afghan and Pakistani officials as well as 501 Shiite civilians.

The terrorist group’s deadliest attacks targeted mosques of the Afghan Hazera Shiite minority in the northern city of Kunduz on October 8 and the southern city of Kandahar on October 15. Around 100 people were killed in the two suicide attacks.

ISIS-K also killed Taliban military commander Hamdullah Mokhlis and 18 other people in a complex attack that targeted Sardar Daud Khan Hospital in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on November 2.

The Taliban takeover the followed the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan in August provided ISIS-K with the opportunity to scale-up its operations in the war-torn country. The terrorist group seized this opportunity.

Currently, ISIS-K is the biggest challenge facing the Taliban’s newly-installed regime in Afghanistan which is struggling to gain international recognition.

Iraqi scenario is the same. Secularists have fallen, civil war by moderate Islamist vs extreme Islamist, victory for moderates, they join the Axis.

The Objective

Who are the moderates in the case of Afghanistan?

Chris Gr

Taliban are more moderate than ISIS-KP.

Lone Ranger

Why is nobody calling out the U.S. and Israel? They ARE isis.

The Objective

Because the SouthFront propagandist and their paid trolls are in support of this American project (ISIS) to spark sectarian war between Sunnis and Shiites.

Lone Ranger

Terror state USA… Global headchopper pirate Inc…

The Objective

ISIS is a project to create sectarian strife and spark a region-wide bloody Shiite-Sunni conflict. By this article, it is clear that SouthFront is in support of and probably actively promoting this project. The article claims that ISIS only grew after the U.S left (implying the U.S was containing, instead of spreading, ISIS). Anyway, Islam has faced greater enemies than today’s Christians. The table will turn — make no mistake about that. And then nothing will left of Christendom. This is your time —- so enjoy it while it lasts —- because you won’t another after this.

The profile picture on my account is been enforced by SouthFront. That’s not me.

ISIS mostly flourished under Obama and under Biden.

IS or ISIL or ISIS ( the egyptian goddess? )

The original IS flourished under Bush while learning to fight Yanks.

Chris Gr

Bush and Trump fought ISIS and Al Qaeda.

Peter Wallace

The regular US military fought IS/ ISIS while the CIA supported ISIS. When they fought each other the US was paying the costs for both sides .

Chris Gr

Maybe you are right!

IS or ISIL or ISIS ( the egyptian goddess? )

First learn how to use utensils and sit at tables with chairs, then you can take over the world.

” The article claims that ISIS only grew after the U.S left (implying the U.S was containing, instead of spreading, ISIS).” That’s stretching it a bit. ISIS have been growing for years in Afghanistan . As the article points out they have scaled up operations since the Yanks left which appears to be true. Obviously without the US there the ISIS have a freer hand to attack the Taliban . I don’t think the Yanks have been doing too much against the Taliban or ISIS for sometime. Mostly air attacks so their forces are not in dangers way. To claim SF supports ISIS is rather erroneous on your part as you have been here for a substantial time and know from the past SF has never supported ISIS. To report what is happening does not mean they support ISIS. As in the past many of your comments are anything but objective. But that fits why you chose than nom de plume .

The Objective

I won’t be surprised that Russia cooperates with ISIS to continue to justify its occupation of Syria, especially for the Russians who oppose this military adventure by Putin. Russia has been fighting ISIS intensely for the past six years. But there seems to be no end in sight. It reminds me of America’s fake war against ISIS prior to 2015. I’m just beginning to look at a broader picture of things. It’s not far-fetched to say SF may be supporting the ISIS project. The reason I’m getting this idea is that this particular article tend to paint ISIS as an American enemy which the Taliban are unable to contain or deal with. ISIS certainly is not in Idlib ____ because Russia doesn’t accuse the Idlib rebels of harboring ISIS. Neither is ISIS in any of the Turkish occupied areas. ISIS seems to flourish only in SDF and U.S controlled areas. And right now, we are reading news of Russian, U.S., and SDF forces deploying alongside one another to torpedo a Turkish attack on the SDF. They are even holding drills together. So who is fighting ISIS in this case? It’s a very real possibility that Putin is using ISIS as an excuse to remain in Syria. The Russian people are dead scared of ISIS, and with Putin’s propaganda machine spinning the yarn that ISIS can show up on Russian soil any moment, he gets to have enough public support to continue this imperial war to impose dictatorship of a minority on a majority. InshaAllah, it won’t happen.

Don’t tell me that Idlib rebels are moderate!

The Objective

They are moderates when compared to the Taliban. Do you disagree? Russia could cooperate with the Taliban but not Syrian rebels. Is Idlib ruled by Sharia like Afghanistan?

Russia has one mission in Syria: Reinstate the alawi minority over the Sunni majority (about 80%). But this project will fail, God willing.

The picture on this profile is enforced by South Front – perhaps to paint me as a Turkish propagandists. That’s not me.

Many Assadists are Sunnis. I don’t get what you are saying. And Idlib has very radical groups.

A Fellow

The Taliban already act in a sectarian manner towards Shi’a Hazaras; the Islamic State just has more fun with it.

Nor should the Islamic State’s zealotry be used to downplay the Taliban’s own ruthlessness. For 20 years, they too preached the obligation of dying & killing to spread medieval mental disorders.

So they should be perfectly comfortable when they, at last, are the ones looking around a crowd, wondering whether anyone is concealing an explosive vest beneath their clothes. Maybe they’ll finally see those chadors they insist on women wearing to be a liability rather than a virtue.
