The ISIS-linked news agency, Amaq, announced on April 17 that the terrorist group’s fighters had successfully attacked a position of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) near the town of al-Kawm in the eastern Homs countryside.
According to the terrorist group’s claims, more than 15 Syrian service members, including 4 officers, were killed in the attack. ISIS fighters also destroyed 2 military trucks and captured two others.
The attack was likely launched from the Homs desert, where hundreds of ISIS fighters and commanders are reportedly hiding. Some of these terrorists arrived in the area recently after fleeing the Middle Euphrates River Valley.
A day earlier, the SAA and the National Defense Forces (NDF) launched a large-scale combing operation around the Homs desert. The operation has apparently failed to prevent ISIS from launching new attacks.
The threat from the remaining ISIS fighters in the Homs desert will likely continue to grow until the SAA and its allies launch a military operation there. Local observers believe that this option is not possible now due to a high level of tensions around the militant-held are of Idlib.
And of course no Daesh fighters were killed where they? No of course not! So much for the ‘LARGE-SCALE COMBING OPERATION’
“Local observers believe that this option is not possible now due to a high level of tensions around the militant-held are of Idlib”
The SAA fought on multiple fronts throughout the war ..suddenly fighting on 2 to too much?
Sadly, yes. In Idlib and the turkish annexed areas are at least 30.000 to 50.000 armed and experienced Jihadis and affiliates. According to the deal, Erdogan and Russia have the resposibilty to force them to peace with Damascus, or elimitate them. Neither has and will happen in the near or in the medium term, so when SAA moves their troops Erdogan and proxys will take advantage of it and all hell will breake loose. So SAA is forced to just sit idle, while their comrades and civilians are killed..
“…..30.000 to 50.000 armed and experienced Jihadis……According to the deal, Erdogan and Russia have the responsibility to force them to peace with Damascus……” How can you describe this scene? What does it look like? Certainly not like making peace. To me it looks like Putin is stabbing Assad in the back, and being downright vindictive.
This Zionists ISIS threats will grow until Syria and their allies fully eliminate them during combing operations in remaining small pockets and cells.
