On January 27, the ISIS-linkned news agency Amaq released an infographics claiming that 377 members of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been killed or injured by ISIS over the past week. The infographics also claims that the terrorist group has destroyed 13 vehicles and damaged 7 vehicles and 3 buldozers belonging to the SDF. Furthermore, ISIS has allegedly destoryed 2 ‘HQs’ of the SDF. ISIS has reportedly conducted 10 attacks and 7 car bomb attacks against the SDF over the aforementioned period.
The numbers provided by Amaq are clearly exaggerated. However, ISIS has indeed increased its attacks against the US-backed force in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside recently. The most intense fighting has taken place in the villages of Gharanj and Bahrah.

Didn’t the US say that they are in Syria to fight ISIS? One would expect the US to give some air support for the SDF. Goes to show that the US has no intentions to fight ISIS even when SDF gets slaughtered.
This is just to extend their occupation.

The top Russia Army guy warned last week that NSyA/fake ISIS were being armed and trained in the US at Tanf ‘garrison’ and were planning on sneaking out. He called the US-controlled area a black hole – head-choppers come out and disappear back inside. The US says nothing. The SAA just caught and wiped out a couple of truckloads of these NSyA/ISIS guys trying to sneak out of this ‘safe zone’. ISIS just managed to mount and coordinate attacks on multiple SAA positions for miles along the west bank of the Euphrates. Now they have Amaq try to paint this as real ISIS attacks on the SDF and on the east bank of the Euphrates? Why would ISIS waste the time when they could easily grab the SDF’s profitable Omar oil business instead? CENTCOM’s B-team must be on propaganda duty this weekend.
It’s hardly a secret that there’s plenty of ISIS/al Qaeda in and around at Tanf and that they hold the Rukban death camp refugees hostage (they claim to be ‘guarding’ them). The US commander in at Tanf (and US lapdog Jordan) does nothing to help the refugees and doesn’t lift a finger to kick the head-choppers out. In fact, it’s his job to recruit, arm and train them. And provide them with ISIS uniforms when they leave to attack the SAA. I guess that’s the defense he’ll use at the Hauge: “Well, they weren’t actually wearing the ISIS uniforms when we trained them, so we weren’t really training ISIS. Right?”
I am not sure they came out of Al Tanf and then went to the East ….sorry Pave, I doubt that, but a few weeks ago, an article on here stated that in the NE of Syria, the Yanks were doing the same thing…. that is why I have this stupid picture / avatar whatever it is called, as they were supposed to be called 313. To me that makes more sense.

Do you mean from the other US ‘train and equip’ camp near the PYD’s al Hol refugee death camp or somewhere else? I agree they would have come out of there if the Amaq release were true and the SDF was actually attacked by ISIS that extensively on the east bank. That part I simply don’t believe in the least. My supposition was that the Amaq report is just propaganda to draw attention from the real ISIS (or whomever) attacks that took place on SAA positions along the east bank last week.
Those head-choppers assembled in the desert, but they came from somewhere else. At Tanf has been sending small, well-equipped gun truck parties out for months now. Al Hol is doing the same thing, but I assumed that most of those head-choppers are going to western Syria and crossing the Euphrates much further north than Tabqa. To your point though, they could just as easily cross at Tabqa for ops between Deir EzZor and al Bukamal if that’s what you meant.
I only mentioned it because SF had an article a few weeks ago about a new training camp in the North East (East of the Euphrates) whish to me, would make more sense. I will try and find it and as usual, I will prove myself wrong – Hold a mo.
Shadadhi Camp and yes their is a refugee camp nearby, almost similar to At Tanf base which the US asked the Syrian govt to clear the area , but no assurances on lifting the 50 km zone and why the refusal. The 313 is a popular number among the Shia and stands for Islamic resistance. The ones in the AMN article use the Lion as part of the unit badge as a reference to the “Lions of Assad”.
