On September 6, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed that 13 fighters of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed after US-led coalition warplanes targeted them by mistake on the al-Noor street in the western part of Raqqa city.
Amaq also claimed that 14 SDF fighters were killed by ISIS fighters on the al-Wadi street in the center of Raqqa city.
The SDF and the US-led collation didn’t comment on the Amaq claims yet.
However, Syrian opposition sources supported Amaq claims and said that only 2 SDF fighters were killed in the friendly fire accident on the al-Noor street.
Meanwhile, the SDF announced that tis fighters repelled an attack of ISIS in al-Amin district in the center of Raqqa city. According to the SDF, ISIS fighters were trying to free an ISIS unit that had been besieged by the SDF in al-Amin district.

The US-led coalition announced that its warplanes conducted 25 airstrikes on ISIS positions and vehicles in Raqqa city on September 6. At least 1 civilian was killed in the US-led coalition airstrikes in the last 72 hours, according to opposition sources.

Does anyone remember a time when the Russian Aerospace forces ever accidentally bombed SAA?
And yet “friendly” fire incidents occur multiple times in every war… unbelievable that there have been zero Russian bombing accidents against the SAA in an entire two year period eh? The Russian did admit to bombing some Turks in February though.
During the last Hama offensive there was an incident being mentioned of the Tiger Forces being on the receiving end of a Russian air strike. Unfortunately accidents always happen in wartime. Maybe the Russians just have better forward air controllers? Or better protocols? Or the various branches of the Russian armed forces are less in a state of barely concealed hostility towards another? The USAF is not exactly very popular with the Army, Navy and Marines, as it tried to steal their aviation assets for a long time.
They had called in close air support on ISIS positions nearby, it happens when positions and fighting is so close. Agree about the USAF wanting those other branches assets , they are throwing money into the F-35 “Wealth Fighter” and not enough for their own maintenance and why 2 A-10s crashed in Nevada.
I do wish the U.S. would just butt out and let Russia and Assad finish the job.
FSA, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS defeat is the America and Israel defeat. America also aware that SDF is 10% Kurds and 90% Syrian Arabs. Therefore America taking away their FSA, Al-Qaeda and ISIS commanders to give them jobs in other countries. It seams again Israel planning to attack Syria this night.
Apparently a coup was staged in Khan Sheikoun where the Teacher and the brother were beheaded for hanging the Syrian Govt Flag , Jabhat al Nusra and Abu Mohammed al Joulani compounds were all surrounded by local factions. They are now working a deal with the Syrian Govt. expect some new infighting in the Idlib region. Hopefully these factions control the entire region of they are in HTS may decide to make attempts to free them if they have important information the US can’t have anything getting out.
The Israeli airstrike was on military positions killing 2 SAA soldiers in Masyaf and they had an HTS and ISIS assault in the region, just coincidence.
While this is possible, one would expect SDF media to report on this. With the many fake news reports, I tend to disregard this. If correct, it will become clear the next fews days.
The SDF confirmed this and 12 were killed or wounded in the incident.
