ISIS Conducts New Attacks On Syrian Army Troops Around Al-Safa

On November 4, ISIS fighters targeted and destroyed a battle tank and Shilka vehicle of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) around the heavily fortified area of al-Safa with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), according to the terrorist group news agency Amaq.

Earlier, Amaq reported that ISIS snipers killed two soldiers of the SAA around al-Safa, which lays between the Damascus desert and the governorate of al-Suwayda.

ISIS fighters in al-Safa and the Damascus government reached an agreement back in October. Under the agreement, which was sponsored by Russia and the U.S., the terrorist group was supposed to release 28 civilian hostages, who were abducted in late July. In exchange for that, the army would allow the terrorists to withdraw from area.

However, the agreement collapsed after the release of six hostages only due to the repeated violations from ISIS side. This forced the SAA to resume its military operations in al-Safa on October 28. Since then, no significant SAA advance has been reported.

Those who are need there are Commandos, Spetsnaz, more artillery, missiles and air force.

Jens Holm

More like that.

Russia-Syria-Iran just re-supplied al Safa ISIS last week with at least 4 truckloads of food, drugs, ammunition and arms. Why did Russia supply them with anti-tank weapons in the first place. Russia has had the tiny spec of al Safa ISIS territory surrounded for months. Giving ISIS supplies and cease fires proves they have no intention of wiping them out. Soon they will try to move ISIS east of Euphrates to fight Kurds.

Blocked, too stupid to waste time reading it.

You can call me Al

I think I must concur with you. He is on strike 2 at the moment, I shall allow one more post from him. If it is along the same lines, blocked by me as well.

gustavo

I am not sure, but it looks like SAA is doing the military ridiculous in this area.

Manuel Flores Escobar

they are regular troops vs a few ISIS…..not needed special forces and masive air support…SAA and NDF conscript troops are bad fighters..but enough to keep ISIS inside there!

Harsha

looks like both SAA and SDF have same results recent clashes .Reason behind last failures is hostage crisis or ?

I hope as Churchill onece said. Its the beginning to the end or something.

“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” – Winston Churchill.

He said that after the second battle of El Alamein, which was the battle that prevented Germany from obtaining oil in the Middle East. The German invasion of Russia was to obtain oil. WWI was about Germany trying to access oil from Iraq, rather than through the British/French duopoly.

Many of the wars in the last 120 years are about who controls the flow of oil, including this one.

Bill Wilson

Both have been using new units/militias to give them some combat experience against ISIS.

America was expected to increase its terror attacks in the lead up to the election. What they do after the election will I think depend on who wins.

northerntruthseeker .

The big question that everyone should be asking is this:

If these “terrorists” are “surrounded” by the SAA and their Russian/Arabic allies, then HOW are they able to get the weapons and ammunition to launch this new “attack”???

I smell the US/Israel/NATO once again shipping them supplies clandestinely from the illegal US position at Al Tanf, and the SAA should do their damn best to cut off those supplies immediately!

John Whitehot

Amaq ‘s gonna amaq.
