ISIS Conducts Several Attacks Against US-Backed Forces In Raqqa

Illustrative image

On July 11, an IED, which had been planted by ISIS cells, exploded near a vehicle of the US-backed Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) in the district of Nazlat Shihada in the southern part of the city of Raqqa, according to the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq. The Syrian Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently blog confirmed the attack and said that no one was killed or injured.

A second attack was carried out by ISIS cells on an administrative building of the SDF in the village of al-Hamam in the western Daraa countryside. According to Amaq, ISIS fighters burned the entire building during the attack.

Furthermore, Amaq reported that ISIS cells shot and killed a fighter of the SDF in the city of al-Tabqah. This is the first attack of the terrorist group in the city since it was captured by the US-led coalition in May of 2017.

During this month, ISIS stepped up its operations in the SDF-held areas of eastern Syria. However, the US-led coalition and the SDF are yet to take any serious security measures, which threatens the peace and stability of these areas.

Just a borrowed image and even SF can get it wrong many times , all I know is local SDF is former ISIS their leader is a rapist and former commander near DZ. Now let’s look at the other group as they are local pro government supporters opposing the conditions of Raqqa thousands of dead bodies and hundreds of mines and booby traps.

Bill Wilson

Yep. They’re still around in scattered pockets and clandestine cells inside Syria and Iraq.

Sven

Kill each other lol.

No ISIS forces in Raqqa as they are Raqqa pro government fighters they want a return to Syrian government control. Time for you to see the propaganda for what it’s worth the local SDF are former ISIS forces in the region.

Bill Wilson

So how did the SDF wind up in Western Daraa? Are they teaching the new SAA units how to fight ISIS out in the desert?

PZIVJ

SDF is very mobile now, did you see what the 200 trucks carried ? This is a brand new air mobile unit for the Kurds! :DDDD
