On July 5, ISIS news agency, Amaq, released photos of a recent attack on a unit of the Egyptian military in the area of al-Magharah in the center of the Sinai Peninsula.
During the attack, which likely took place on June 22, the terrorists targeted the unit’s armored vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED). The terrorists then clashed with the survivors, before running away.
Amaq’s photos confirm that five to six service members of the Egyptian Armed Forces were killed in the well-planned attack.
In the last few months, ISIS cells in Sinai began intensified their IED attacks on Egyptian government forces in Sinai. Explosive devices provided the terrorist group with a low-risk, low-cost method to inflict losses on its enemies.
In ISIS’ most recent IED attacks, an armored vehicle of the Egyptian military was blown into pieces in the village of al-Sakadra near Sheikh Zuweid in northern Sinai. Amaq also released photos of the attack.
The Egyptian military and security forces are conducting operations against ISIS remnants in Sinai on a regular basis. Heavy losses were inflicted on the terrorists. Nevertheless, the group is still active in the region.

I’ve looked at traveling across the northern Sinai from Cairo to Gaza. And dealing with a Mossad assassination attempt.
My Walkera 350 computerized gps drone has follow me capability that I’m planning on using on ET/ED/non conventional lifeform contact ops in the wilderness. On foot and in my Bronco ll.
A thermal camera on board the drone can do an area scan during top cover flights using a 360 degree auto rotation similar to a radar sweep. If I run into a bigfoot or family unit the thermal rotation sweep can pick it up before I see or hear them so that I know that they’re there.
I’m planning a daytime recon op into the caldera soon where I heard what sounded like a ship drive and had the bigfoot vocalization encounter 3 years ago. To look at ingress and egress for an overnight stay in the caldera on a follow up op.
