ISIS Kills 43 Niger Soldiers, Captures 2 Battle Tanks & Other Equipment Near Lake Chad (Photos)

At least 42 Niger soldiers were killed as well as 2 battle tanks and several pieces of other military equipment were captured in a recent ISIS attack in the area of Lake Chad, according to pro-ISIS media sources.

According to AFP citing security sources, over the past few days ISIS attacks in northeastern Nigeria have resulted in the deaths of 53 people, including local farmers.

The attack, which resulted in the killing of 43 soldiers, took place on November 18, in the village of Metele.

“Our troops were completely routed and the terrorists captured the base after heavy fighting,” a military officer told AFP, adding that the base commander and three officers were among the dead.

And of course, absolutely no Daesh soldiers were killed. Seriously, how on earth did the Nigerian army let this happen? It’s almost as though they have given up fighting back and are now just going to let Daesh advance and take over more land, expanding their influence over more areas.

Because sub-saharan militaries are just cow herders with guns and tanks. They don’t have the same traditions and respect for military service as in western countries.
