ISIS, Pro-Turkey militants and Kurdish YPG Fight Each Others in Northern Syria

Support SouthFront

The ISIS terrorist group, pro-Turkey militant groups (supported by the Turkish Armed Forces) and the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) fight each other in the Syrian province of Aleppo, competing for the key town of al-Bab.

Tensions between pro-Turkey militants and YPG units have been rapidly growing since the YPG advanced in the northeastern al-Bab countryside and prevented Ankara-led forces from encircling this ISIS-controlled town. Now, pro-Turkey forces and the YPG are in the direct confrontation in the area.

On November 21, pro-Turkey militants seized the village of Sheikh Nasir from YPG units (some media outlets prefer to call them the ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ or the ‘SDF’) and engaged Kuridsh fighters in intense clashes in the area.

In turn, ISIS militants, using clashes between pro-Turkey forces and the YPG, retook control over the villages of Qabasin and Qudayran north of al-Bab.

“On November 21, pro-Kurdish militants seized the village of Sheikh Nasir from YPG units (some media outlets prefer to call them the ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ or the ‘SDF’) and engaged Kuridsh fighters in intense clashes in the area.” Sorry but this look like a Kurdish large scale suicide ritual.

Thank you for the feedback. The mistake was improved.

I’m pretty sure SDF has control of Tal Malid, the road and villages running southeast along the Shahba reservoir, and are near to Tell Rahhal, on the Afrin side.
