The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq has released a photo set from al-Qaryatayn city and its countryside recently seized by terrorists deep inside the government-held area in Syria.
The photo set confirms that ISIS has a notable force supported by technicals in the area. This force does not consist of “locals” rebelled against the “Syrian regime” as some pro-opposition sources promote.
On October 6, the Russian Defense Ministry said that ISIS members that seized al-Qaryatayn came from the Syrian-Jordanian border area of at-Tanf. This area is controlled by the US-led coalition.

Wth are the marines and rsn special forces stationed there waiting to storm it its just 300 isis fighters give em some time and magically theyll become a 1500+ regiment or even a brigade they took a lot of mountains near busayrah and baridah as well wtf is goin on when they are technically besieged and what happened to all the forces that just cleaned akerbat pocket? I tend to disbelief the Al Tanf story as that was not an IS base nor do I believe IS could cross some 180 kms over SAA held lands whee there is RuAF surveillance, without being noticed. And beyond that, I also believe SAA has informers among most opposition groups.
As for the report itself, I seem not able to find the developments there. Is the pocket expanding, besieging forces etc?

These are Jaish al Sharqiyah and the Abo Hamda brigades with some PMC’s in the mix killing them will anger the US, but hey they don’t exist if they are dead or caught. The one in the top photo in the bottom right corner was involved with the training and has been involved in multiple attacks from Al Tanf and the US camp in the north. Time to put a FOAB at that camp, watch the US howl and scream blue bloody murder but hey, they blew it up and destroyed it anyways already.

They went in small groups not in an entire assault brigade the way they did it was obvious those trucks are all new. There is one truck that was the lead truck but was damaged during the night driving in the lower front bumper as they cleared the headlight lens. These guys stayed hidden in the valleys away from any patrols, Russia has to change it’s patrol routine and not inform the US.

Sf releases an article last night reiterating these are rebels from shuhada quraytayn and some sleeper cells and pro isis civilians/ corrupt ndf in the mix. Yet they look like real isis here and all those technicals supports the idea they came all the way from somewhere like al tanf (how they got past checkpoints and soldiers and airstrikes is beyond me) unless saa left technicals in the middle of qaryatayn or isis sleeper cells had them in their garages as a result of bad cleanup and policing.
