The Syrian army has conducted a successfull military operation against ISIS forces that were gathering east of Palmyra in the province of Homs for an advance on the government forces’ positions in the area.
The Syrian government forces engaged ISIS militants in al-Sha’er region of Homs, inflicting heavy damage to the terrorist group’s manpower and military equipment. The pro-governmen forces lost some 6 fighters in the clashes and killed about 15 ISIS militants.
