Dozens of ISIS fighters, who were hiding around the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani in the Middle Euphrates River Valley, surrendered to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on March 24.
A spokesman for the US-backed group, Jikar Azad, told the RT TV that the number of the ISIS fighters who surrendered is between 60 and 90. Azad said that the terrorists were hiding in tunnels and caves around al-Baghuz al-Fawqani and expected that more are still hiding in the town’s outskirt.
The SDF announced the complete defeat of ISIS in Syria a day earlier. The announcement was met with much doubts from pro-government and opposition activists, who said that the terrorist group is still active in many other areas in the country, especially in the Homs desert.
Some sources, including the Hammurabi’s Justice News, even reported that clashes between the SDF and ISIS are still ongoing north of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. The outlet is known for its close ties with the US-led coalition.
The announcement of the complete defeat of ISIS in Syria was an attempt by the SDF and its Western backers, mainly the U.S, to take credit for the entire war on the terrorist group. The Kurdish dominated group even tried to use its victory in the Euphrates Valley as a leverage in the political filed.
I want to see evidence the kurds have been fighting here, it may have been the SDF forces fighting here, and some of them might have been kurds, but most of the fighting here since about June last year has been by the Arab, Christian and Turkmen SDF fighters, not the Kurds, and there wasn’t too much fighting at all until just recently.
Pay first. You probatly not even know, where Syria is.
.
The Kurds have been on strike and not fighting Isis at all in Al Hasakah, you can believe the lies the media tells you if you prefer to believe them though, but the facts speak louder than the lies do, that’s if you care to pay attention to the facts instead of the hype.
