ISIS Terrorists Kill, Capture Eleven Syrian Service Members In Southern Deir Ezzor

Early on June 21, ISIS terrorists launched a hit-and-run attack on Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in the vicinity of the city of al-Mayadin in southern Deir Ezzor.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that heavy clashes were ongoing at the al-Mzari’a [farms] area near al-Mayadin for several hours.

“The al-Mazari’a area is the largest gathering of Iranians and its militias in the region,” the monitoring group said in its report.

According to the SOHR, ISIS terrorists killed eight service members and captured three others during the attack. These claims are yet to be verified.

The attack was likely launched from the Homs desert, which lays between western Deir Ezzor and Homs. Hundreds of ISIS terrorists are reportedly taking shelter there.

A recent series of operations by the SAA and its allies have put a significant pressure on ISIS cells in the Homs desert. The terrorist group steeped up its attacks in response. Earlier this week, 15 Syrian soldiers were killed and injured in an attack by the group in eastern Hama.

This never happens in the US/SDF occupied part of Syria, despite the US releasing news of killing ISIS commanders in spec ops every few weeks. So the US Ziocorporate terrorists kill the commanders but ISIS attacks the SAA, which rarely kills any ISIS commander, with the greatest frequency.

Free man

“This never happens in the US/SDF occupied part of Syria…” – It happens all the time.

Because they have been trained in US base of Al Tanf…and now fight under ISIS brand.

How come a large part of the desert near Deirezour remains uncleaned?

Damien C

If they are in the desert how in hells name can they not be spotted with spotter plane? At night time they must have a massive heat signiture that should be quite easy to locate. For that matter a two man spotter team well hidden should see them from miles away

Fog of War

Because this is the magical, invisible, forever well equipped and supplied ISIS. They are virtual super heroes . If Russia cant even find and neutralize them in an open desert, Imagine what kind of havoc ISIS would reap inside the vast borders of Russia. This is pathetic at this point.

Assad must stay

This shit needs to stop SAA and Russian need to completely wipe out at tanf, completely clean up the desert they hide in

Mustafa Mehmet

Assad can’t do anything anymore.. he must go now sooner the better

Ronald

Al Tanaf being occupied by the US, is a bit of a reach at this moment in time. Its not that hard for them to send a small war party through the desert at night, it’s not flat like a pool table, lots of hole in the wall hide outs. We can not give up, the ISIS bastards will die.

Assad must stay

It has always been occupied by US, when is the right time then? When they are in Damascus?

Ronald

I think Putin has the right approach, if possible, wait until the enemy miss steps and falls upon on their own face. SAA has its hands full driving Turkey and its Muslim Brotherhood out of Idlib, this is not the time to open a front with the US.

Mikronos

There’s a big game of whack-a-mole going on in south central Syria. ISIS pops up gets whacked and pops up somewhere else.

How much could it hurt to let the Turks face off against the Kurds and Americans while the SAA cleans out some rats’ nests in the south and east. It would take a couple or three months to squash the insurgency.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Back in oct 2017 Putin and Assad announced they were starting an operation to eliminate Isis from the same areas that Isis is operating in now, Iraq also participated in the operation on both sides of the border, both in Syria and Iraq, and by the end of dec that year Putin announced that Isis had been eliminated in SAA controlled Syria. They were still active in US territory though, 5,000 fighters at least. It only took 2 months to wipe out Isis back then and Isis was literally hundreds of times more powerful than they are now, so I’m expecting some quick results if Russia’s past performance is anything to go by.
