On January 5, ISIS’ news agency, Amaq, released photos documenting a recent attack by the terrorist group’s wing in Western Africa, the Islamic State – West Africa Province (ISWAP).
The attack, which took place on January 3, targeted a camp of the Nigerian Armed Forces (NAF) in the town of Marti in the northeastern Nigerian state of Borno.
ISWAP terrorists managed to storm the military camp following a successful attack with a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. The suicide attacker, whose photo was shared by Amaq, was identified as “Abu Suleiman al-Ansari”.
According to Amaq, ten service members of the NAF were killed or wounded as a result of the attack on the military camp.
Last year, ISWAP stepped up its operations against the NAF and other government forces in Nigeria’s northeastern region, especially in the states of Borno and Yobe.
The terrorist group appears to be determined to strengthen its presence in the northeastern region even more in 2022. Nigerian government forces will have to make much more efforts to crop the group’s influence.
Niggers are hilariously incompetent.
What’s their telegram? Or other groups
I imagine a lot of Nigerian troops abandon their positions to begin with. I bet most of the NAF is nothing but conscripts, who are poorly trained and equipped. Most of the NAF is probably nothing but teenagers or young adults given some camo fatigues and an AK, and told “good luck sucker”.
