According to a study released in Wednesday, ISIS terrorists rely on non-military components to make bombs and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) coming from the United States, Japan and other countries.
London-based Conflict Armament Research (CAR) said that most of the components including chemicals, fertilizers, wire, and electronics, are being entered through Turkey to the areas under ISIS control in Iraq and Syria.
“700 different components recovered from ISIS weapon making workshops and its unexploded bombs which were legally acquired. It also identified 51 companies in 20 countries, including European and US firms, were involved in the supply chain,” report said.
