On January 21, a VBIED of ISIS destroyed a HQ of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the village of al-Bahrah north of the town of Hajin town in southeastern Deir Ezzor, according to the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq.
Amaq said that twenty SDF fighters were killed and three vehicles of the US-backed force were destroyed in the attack.

The ISIS-linked news agency also reported that ISIS members launched a hit and run attack against positions of the SDF north of al-Baghuz, near the Syrian-Iraqi border. ISIS fighters destroyed several fortifications of the SDF there.
Meanwhile, Barq al-Shaitat, one of the SDF’s Arab units, announced that hundreds of SDF fighters were redeployed from the cities of Qamishli and Kobani to the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside. According to the group, the SDF reinforcements will participate in the ongoing attack on ISIS in the towns of Gharanij and Hajin.
So far, the SDF faced significant problems with its advance in southeastern Deir Ezzor. ISIS still only controls the villages of Abu Hassan, al-Bubadran, al-Baghuz, al-Susah, al-Shaafah and al-Bahrah plus parts of Gharanij and Hajin towns.

You’re joking I know but the before and after photos have at least a six vehicle discrepancy… It beggars belief that when racing with the SAA the SDF (USA) can capture (bribe) huge swathes overnight and it’s taken them months to not deal with a couple of completely besieged villages.
