Late on October 15, the ISIS terrorist group withdrew from the area of Azaz in the northern part of Syrian province of Aleppo. The ISIS forces from the area were set to deploy in Al-Bab in order to prepare to defend this strategic city in Aleppo province.
On October 16, Turkish-backed militant groups, supported by the Turkish Armed Forces, took control of the cities of Dabiq and Sawran and the nearby areas.

From what is being said, There was no battle for Dabiq. Like in Jarablus, ISIS let the Turkish backed terrorists take the Area. It is a confirmation of what was saying Al-Assad, Turkey is whitewashing his support to ISIS by integrating them in the FSA. It is just a window-dressing
Completely right , like Al Nusra , just a name change , to keep things confused . Turkey picks up a Sunni army , fully supplied , and already well positioned in oil producing territory , adds tanks and an air force , and gains oil fields . As in Iraq where Erdogan wants a piece of the “liberation of Mosul” , the real “action” he wants is , oil producing territory , and more new “recruits” . Basically using the American idea of a “Sunnistan” but changing it into a Turkish occupation , that will become part of Turkey. Whitewashing ISIS itself !
