The exchange of strikes between the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine (IJMP) and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which started in the Gaza Strip late on October 26, continued on October 27.
According to the IDF, another barrage of projectiles was launched from Gaza at the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no confirmed reprots about casualties or damage caused by this strike. However, the IDF already announced that its forces are attacking “terror” targets within the Gaza Strip.

It’s also interesting to note that Israel accused the “Assad regime” and Iran’s Quds Force of being behind the recent escalation in Gaza. While the Quds Force is indeed a special forces unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responsible for extraterritorial operations, it still remains unclear how the Damascus government deeply involved in counter-terrorism operations across its own country could be behind any tensions in Gaza.

Furthermore, the Israeli side “forgot” to mention that this round of escalation started after dozens of Palestinians were killed or injured by the IDF during a weekly protests at the Gaza separation fence. These weekly protests have already ongoing for a few months since the US administration recognized Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and declared its full support for all Israeli actions in the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In fact, the increased US support to Israel contributed to the escalation in the region because it allowed the Tel Aviv leadership to employ force more freely in order to crack down on the Palestinain resistance to its actions.

The Israeli position is nonsense. Gaza doesn’t mean a whole lot to Iran and Syria. They have much larger fish to fry. The IDF hasn’t flown anymore missions against Syria since the shoot-down of the Russian aircraft. Hence, they have nothing else to blab about. Further, Israel will not change it’s tune and continues to use propaganda over common sense. I wish well to all.

Hi Joe. I think it is deeper than that. Russia has shown tremendous discipline on it’s moves in Syria. Russia can wipe Israel at any given time, before Israel wakes up to have it’s morning coffee. I think it is actually the disciplined moves that is scaring the daylights out of not only Israeli but, US/Coalition commanders.
Russia can shoot down F-22’s, F-35’s, P-8’s and all the rest of it, at any given moment. The West and Israel is somewhat, not completely, prepared for this. What they are not ready for are moves that take away ‘playground space’.
For instance, it was just the other day that Russian officials discussed the use of a US P-8 aircraft in actively guiding drones from Syrian takfiris, that were attacking the Russians at the airbase in Latakia. Russia had every right in the world to down the P-8. It was an act of war. It did not do so. They experimented with their ECM against the drones, identified the activity coming from the P-8, then shotdown the drones at their convenience.
They turned an assault, an act of war, into a productive opportunity to experiment and further their capabilities. Israel, the US, the Occidentals in general do not know how to intellectually reach the Russians. Hence, they are always behind the curve. Reflection, patience and preparation are hallmarks of Russian activities. Russia asks itself questions like; is it worth it? What are the consequences? How much more or less situational stress will be created by involvement is this, that or the other thing. Western policy makers and commanders do not properly consider their thoughts or words.

First up it wasn’t the Israeli side that forgot to mention it.. it was Southfront that deliberately didn’t mention it (see my comment in the article headed.. New Israeli Airstrikes On Gaza Following Rocket Attack (Videos)).
