The Israeli military continues destruction of vital facilities in the Gaza Strip with massive airstrikes and artillery shelling, justifying criminal attacks with the hideout of Hamas in the tunnels under the schools, hospitals, kindergartens etc.
On the evening of November 9, the Indonesian hospital in the northern Gaza Strip came under another Israeli attack. Israeli warplanes reportedly targeted the area nearby but according to the head of the hospital, a section of building was destroyed. According to preliminary data, as a result of this strike alone, several dozen people were injured.
This is not the first time that the area near the medical facility came under attack during the escalation of the conflict. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry recently rejected Israel’s statement that the Indonesian hospital, built with charitable funds from Jakarta in the Gaza Strip, is located above underground Hamas facilities and next to the launch site of unguided rockets. However, more strikes hit the area of the facility.
“The Indonesian hospital in Gaza is an institution built by the Indonesian people exclusively for humanitarian purposes and to meet the medical needs of the Palestinian people,” the diplomatic department claimed.
Al-Nasr Children’s Hospital in Gaza City was attacked twice on Thursday, according to the director, forcing the hospital to almost fully stop operating. Local sources shared footage of damage caused by Israeli artillery shelling to the building. This is not clear jow such artillery shelling should help the IDF destroy any underground tunnels. Airstrikes on the hospital were also reported by Arab media.
More footage from Gaza confirmed more Israeli strikes near Al Shifa Hospital. Civilians who were sheltering in the facility are seen running for cover. On the night of November 9, Israeli artillery shells fell near the hospital.
More than half of the hospitals in the enclave are closed due to damage and lack of fuel and necessary supplies. On November 8, Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City has shut down “most operations” after running out of fuel and withstanding daily Israeli bombardments around the medical complex.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 10,812 people, including at least 4,412 children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The deaths of thousands of innocent civilians continue to be nothing more than “collateral damage” for Israeli officials.
