Israel Struck Syrian Army Depots With EXTRA Precision-Guided Rockets

IMI SYSTEMS, A ground-launched EXTRA system.

The Israeli military used EXTRA [Extended Range Artillery] precision-guided rockets to attack depots of the Syrian Arab Army 7th Division near the town of Zakyah to the south of the capital, Damascus, on February 16, Syrian and Russian sources revealed.

A photo showing the debris from one of the Israeli EXTRA rockets which were used in the attack surfaced online on February 17.

The EXTRA artillery rocket system was developed and manufactured by Israel’s defense giant IMI Systems. The system is built around a 306 mm artillery rocket with a maximum range of 150 kilometers.

The rocket uses a global navigation satellite system backed by an inertial navigation system to reach a CEP [Circular Error Probable] of less than 10 meters.

Usually, the Israeli military utilizes its air force to attack targets in Syria. It is unclear why precision-guided ground-to-ground rockets were used on February 16. One possible reason is to avoid Syrian air defense fire.

More information on the February 16 Israeli attack on Syria will likely emerge in the upcoming days. New satellite images could provide a look at what was exactly struck south of Damascus.

Israel still mad Hezbollah embarrassed them so they used extra missiles on an empty container 🤣🤣

Chris Gr

Only Hezbollah and IRGC should be attacked. SAA should be left alone.

Jnoub

Hezbollah weapons are secret, you think Hezbollah and IRGC will store their weapons at ports if Israel “bombs them” every other day? Don’t you think they would’ve learned their lesson?

Reactionary Monarcho-Socialist Metalhead

Yes but it will be more difficult. Iranian forces should not occupy Syria and radical militants should go away.

Jnoub

How does Iran occupy Syria? Bashar invited Iran and Hezbollah. Iran barely has any soldiers, Iran bases were approved by Bashar, Iran has stated once Bashar tells to leave, they’ll leave.

Reactionary Monarcho-Socialist Metalhead

But Iran has their own agenda there.

Jnoub

But it correlates to Bashar. Iran and Hezbollah just want the highway free so Iran can deliver weapons and want the towns next to the Lebanese border feee for Hezbollah to bring in weapons. This helps Bashar liberate Syria if his allies have safe passage.

Bashar doesn’t care that Iran and Hezbollah have their own bases because it’s to protect syria and deter a common enemy, israel.

Reactionary Monarcho-Socialist Metalhead

Yes but why does Iran supports Muslim Brotherhood peoples like the ones who defeated Saddam (Saddam was Ba’athist) or Morsi or Erdogan or Omar al-Bashir or the Algerian Islamic Salvation Front?

Bigg Chungus

For a second I thought the headline was a sarcastic reference to Hezbollah announcing yesterday that they are converting their old stock to precision rockets.

GTFO

Putinyahoo still a coward or Zionist enabler. Where is the S300, S400? Fuck IsraHell.
