Israel Threatens Senior Syrian Army Officer Over Hezbollah Ties

You can read this article in German. LINK

The Israeli military has dropped leaflets over Syria’s southern region with a direct threat to a senior Syrian Arab Army (SAA) officer, opposition sources reported on January 7.

In the leaflets, the Israeli military warned the commander of the 112th Brigade of the SAA’s 1st Corps, Brigadier General Basil Abu Eid, from cooperating with Lebanon’s Hezbollah. The leaflets threatened his life and the lives of those around him.

“Hezbollah brought destruction and instability to the [southern] region, because of it you and the army [SAA] in general are paying the price,” one of the leaflets reads. ”It’s about time for Hezbollah to leave Syria, it’s time for Hezbollah to leave the 112th Brigade.”

A day earlier, a series of Israeli strikes hit targets in southern Syria, including a base of the 112th Brigade. Sources in Daraa said that a building located next to the office of Brig. Gen. Eid was struck.

Last October, the Israeli military dropped similar leaflets with threats to senior commanders in the 1st Corps, including Brig. Gen. Eid. Early on November 18, Israeli airstrikes destroyed the personal office of Major General Akram Hawija, commander of the 1st Corps’ 7th Division. Hawija was one of the officer named in the leaflets.

On November 25, more leaflets with threats to the commanders and soldiers of the 1st Corps were dropped over the southern region.

The Israeli threats are meant to intimidate Syrian officers and drive them away from Hezbollah. This new tactic reflects the desperation of the military planners in Tel Aviv, which has been trying to push Iran out of Syria for years now with no real success.

The singular cause of instability in the middle east is once again claiming that someone else is responsible for causing instability in the middle east.

wikki fx says: India and Israel also signed an agreement, upgrading their bilateral relations to a ‘strategic partnership’.[93] During the trip, Prime Minister Modi also addressed the Indian diaspora in Israel in a highly televised event in Tel Aviv. In illustrating an Indian welcome to the Indian diaspora from its homeland, he announced Overseas Citizenship of India cards for Jews of Indian origin who had completed their compulsory military service in the Israel Defense Force and also pledged the construction of a major Indian cultural centre in Tel Aviv.[94] Modi also visited the northern Israeli city of Haifa, where he paid homage to the Indian soldiers of the Indian Army who had fallen to save Jewish land in the Battle of Haifa, and unveiled a special plaque commemorating the steadfast military leadership of Major Dalpat Singh who liberated the ancient city from the powerful Ottoman Empire.

The British imperialists and their Rothschild monarchy created two failed trouble makers at the disastrous end of their imperium, Israel and Pakistan. Both are a a nuisance and a fiscal and political drag on the west. Now they no longer serve a useful purpose as global power dynamics have changed and these failed states have become a liability. With the US now in perennial banana republic status, Israel is petrified and all these impotent childish fright gestures are clear signs of how scared the Zionists are. Israel will not survive, just like its Nazi and Apartheid role models.

Frankly, the Zionists are crapping in their industrial sized diapers as Hezbollah now is too powerful and spread out over several countries from Algeria to Yemen. Pepe Escobar who is perhaps the most knowledgeable journalist on the region sums it up quite eloquently in Asia Times:

Iran is increasingly solidified as the key node of the New Silk Roads in Southwest Asia: the Iran-China strategic partnership is constantly revitalized by FMs Zarif and Wang Yi, and that includes Beijing turbo-charging its geoeconomic investment in South Pars – the largest gas field on the planet.

Iran,Russia and China will be involved in the reconstruction of Syria – which will also include, eventually, a New Silk Road branch: the Iran-Iraq-Syria-Eastern Mediterranean railway.

All that is an interlinked, ongoing process no Hellfires are able to burn.

Steve Standley

Hope you’re right. Russia and China could really swing a positive transformation here, but Isreal needs to be either subdued from within or crushed from without. There is no middle ground here: Israel needs to be dealt with.

Hezbollah represents the basic aspirations of the people of the region. Lebanon and Syria are one country and one people, the imperialists divided them and that artificial division is only on paper now. Your typical jew tactics of gaslighting established history are impotent on this forum.

https://www.crisisgroup.org/middle-east-north-africa/eastern-mediterranean/syria/how-hezbollah-changing-war-syria-and-vice-versa

“Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria has achieved significant gains: it has provided the Syrian regime momentum, averting its military defeat; dislodged rebels from areas adjacent to the borders; stopped further outrages against Shiites; and prevented a detrimental recalibration of the regional balance of power.

From Hezbollah’s perspective, its intervention became a strategic necessity as the initial Syrian uprising morphed into a zero-sum regional war. It has come to see the potential loss of its Damascus ally as an existential threat, placing it next in line, and frames the war as being aimed at the so-called “axis of resistance” against Israel, which includes Hezbollah, Iran and the Syrian regime.

Moreover, the flow of foreign jihadis into the armed opposition constituted a genuine, long-term threat to Hezbollah. It declared a preemptive war against what it labels takfiris (Islamists who denounce others as infidels or impious), regardless of the differences and divergences among Syrian armed groups. In May 2013, Hezbollah publicly spearheaded an assault against Syrian rebels in the border town of Qusayr.

In February 2014, Hezbollah sent its troops to the Qalamoun mountains north of Damascus and led the campaign to capture Yabroud, allegedly the transit hub for car bombs smuggled into Lebanon that targeted the party, Iranian assets and predominantly Shiite neighborhoods. The party’s detractors accuse it of deploying fighters across Syria, in particular in Deraa, Aleppo and Idlib, in addition to Damascus and its suburbs.

The result of this, however, has been that Hezbollah (“party of God” in Arabic), once widely respected by Sunnis in Syria and the region for its military struggle against Israel, is now frequently dubbed the “Party of Satan.” However extreme, this labeling reflects the depth of the shift.

Hezbollah is being transformed by the conflict. Over many years, it meticulously built its reputation as an organization of principle. But it is now losing its hard-won soft power and growing more accustomed to relying on hard power to achieve its strategic objectives. The enmity this metamorphosis engenders is, ironically, fuelling the very same threats the party strives to repel. Its involvement ignites the extremism it is combatting as it deepens the regional sectarian rift. It also endangers its own strategic depth as it alienates wide segments of the Syrian population.

Despite the fact that the Syrian regime’s immediate survival is no longer at stake and Lebanese-Syrian borders largely secured, as party leader Hassan Nasrallah has affirmed, Hezbollah is not providing signs that it will withdraw from Syria anytime soon. ‘”

One thing is certain: the israel apartheid entity works gand in hand with ISIS thugs in Syris.

Lie some more. We’re waiting.

The locals don’t want Iran and Hezbollah in Darra, Quneitra, or As Suwayda, the Israelis don’t want them there either, and obviously the Russian’s don’t want them there otherwise they wouldn’t let the Israelis bomb the hell out of them the way they do, and they also wouldn’t say the things they said in this article they just published, ‘ISIS Releases Summary Of Its Attacks In Syria In 2020’. SF is talking about Iran in that article even though they don’t mention them by name, they said a lack of coordination by the controlling powers is the real reason Isis is so effective, and I’ve been saying the same thing too for about 12 months now, but I name Iran as the uncooperative entity when I make my comments, SF just insinuated it in theirs.

No one seems to care what the locals on the ground think, do the locals want zionazis and yanks in their neighborhoods, no they don’t, they hold anti zionist and anti US protest all the time, or at least they did until the zionazis clamped down on their protests, now the locals are directing their animosity towards netantahoo and his Government instead. The locals don’t want israel and yankees in the holy land, they don’t want jews there either, and obviously the Russians don’t want them there otherwise they wouldn’t be in Syria bombing the hell out of their proxies the way they do, and they also wouldn’t say the things they said in this article they just published, ‘ISIS Releases Summary Of Its Attacks In Syria In 2020’. SF is talking about israeli terrorist proxies in that article even though they don’t mention them by name, they said a lack of coordination by the controlling powers is the real reason Isis is so effective, and I’ve been saying the same thing too for about 12 months now, but I name turkey as the uncooperative entity when I make my comments.

Chill out, snowflake … Truth hurts, doesn’t it?

Saves me the trouble of coming over there.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

What a great play on my words, but sadly there wasn’t an ounce of truth in what you said, it was just pure and utter PROPAGANDA, except for the part about Turkey, on that one point alone you’re more right than you probably realize. You have no idea what the locals want or don’t want, you’re just claiming they want the same thing you want, to destroy Israel, but they don’t want that at all, they want to stop fighting and get back to their normal lives, a war against Israel is the last thing the average Syrian wants. Try reading some Syrian opposition news sites from time to time, they’ll tell you exactly what’s going on, they’ll tell you exactly who they like and who they don’t, and they’ll also tell you what they want. They may be anti government sites but most of them are also slightly pro Russian too, and there’s a couple of really good ones that put SANA to shame when it comes to professional journalism. So why don’t you break with your own protocol and listen to what the other side is saying for a change, they say some very interesting and informative things that you’d never ever hear from your own media sources, and none of them are saying what you just said. Before Iran took over the administration of southern Deir ez Zor Sunni children went to school to learn about mathematics, science, history ect, after 2018 they were forced to study Shia ideology as well, but in Syria it’s actually illegal to teach religious studies to children while they’re attending school, they’re supposed to learn that after school in the Mosques and Churches, except for southern Deir ez Zor where the Iranians control the situation. But maybe not for much longer, the Russians seem to be moving back into Deir ez Zor bit by bit. :]

Arch Bungle

Bla Bla bla. Lots of words. All bullshit.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

No you’re the one full of bull shit, I’m trying to tell the truth, but dickheads like you make that virtually impossible to do on these forums, but not completely impossible.

Arch Bungle

Triggered, snowflake?

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Triggered? but I’m not the one giving you dislikes dickhead, you’re disliking my comments, so triggered must have a different meaning for you. Try and find any reports on anti Israeli protests in Syria during the last 3 years, you won’t be able to find any, but then try to find reports on anti Iranian demonstrations in Syria, you’ll find dozens of them. You’re the liar buddy, you say things that aren’t true and criticize people for telling the truth. Lord save us from stupidity and the LGBTQI movement.

Arch Bungle

Confirmed. Triggered.

next.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Lord save us from stupidity and the LGBTQI movement.

Arch Bungle

Lord save us from the lies of the hasbara jooball sucking movement.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Telling the truth doesn’t make someone pro Israeli, it’s just simply telling the truth, except for people like you it isn’t.

Arch Bungle

I never said you were pro israeli.

I said you are a liar.

Pointing out that you are a liar is not wrong, is it?

Willing Conscience (The Truths

It is when I’m not a liar. You just insinuated I was pro Israel by totally discounting my assertion that the locals in Syria aren’t really unhappy with Israel at all, and my next assertion which was, the locals are instead ready to rebel against the Syrian Government if Iran and Hezbollah aren’t forced out of their neighborhoods. I’m guessing you’re totally pro Iran and totally anti Israel and US.

Arch Bungle

We’ve already established you as a liar. As for your following comment:

“I’m guessing you’re totally pro Iran and totally anti Israel and US.”

No need to guess, idiot. I am on record on this forum as:

100% ANTI-ISRAEL 100% ANTI-US Government.

100% Pro-Iran, Pro-Palestine, Pro-Lebanon, Pro-Yemen!

Viva Palestine! Viva Ansar Allah! Long Live Hossein Soleimani!

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I’m not a liar. And you don’t give a shit about Syria or the Syrian people, they’re expendable in your eyes, just so long as Iran gets an opportunity to strike at Israel you’re ok with that, millions of Syrians can die to serve the cause. Lets see just how much longer the Syrian people put up with that, Assad might have to put up with it but the locals don’t and won’t, Iran and Hezbollah have already pushed them to the breaking point and the only thing that’s stopped things from blowing out of control are the Russians reconciliation agreements. But as I keep claiming they Russians are obviously getting fed up with that situation, they’re giving people hints in their articles on SF and articulating what the main problem is without naming names. But I know they’re talking about Iran, not the US and Israel as you tried to insinuate, and sooner or later everyone else will too, the Russians are slowly letting the cat out of the bag.

Arch Bungle

Easy. As you request, here is the proof you are a liar. Check mate.

“MAJDAL SHAMS, Golan Heights (Reuters) – Dozens of Druze Arabs, some carrying Syrian flags and pictures of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, gathered on the Golan Heights on Saturday to protest U.S. President Donald Trump’s support for Israeli sovereignty over the territory.

The mountainous plateau was part of Syria until Israel captured it in the 1967 Middle East war, annexing it in 1981 in a move not recognised internationally.”

2019. There are more.

Let’s hear your next lie?

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I did say Darra, Quneitra, and As Suwayda, and even though the Golan heights is still technically a part of Qunietra, it’s inhabitants live under Israeli law, not Syrian law. The Golan heights is still part of Syria according to international law, but for all other intense purposes it’s a part of Israel now, the Israelis administer the area and control it entirely, so it’s not really what we were talking about. So I’ll rephrase my assertion, there have been no anti Israeli demonstrations in any of the areas of Syria that Assad controls, only anti Iranian/Hezbollah protests, the protest you’re referring to take place in Israeli occupied Golan, no where else. And as for the rest of the Druze population that do live in Syria, they don’t protest against Israel, but they do protest against Iran, and they do it all the time, they actually accuse Iran of a lot of nasty things, drug smuggling, weapon smuggling, people smuggling, extortion, intimidation, assassinations. Reread my comment, this is what I said,

“Try reading some Syrian opposition news sites from time to time, they’ll tell you exactly what’s going on, they’ll tell you exactly who they like and who they don’t, and they’ll also tell you what they want. They may be anti government sites but most of them are also slightly pro Russian too, and there’s a couple of really good ones that put SANA to shame when it comes to professional journalism. So why don’t you break with your own protocol and listen to what the other side is saying for a change, they say some very interesting and informative things that you’d never ever hear from your own media sources, and none of them are saying what you just said.”

So now show me an article from an opposition news site that confirms what you told me, this is what you said,

“No one seems to care what the locals on the ground think, do the locals want zionazis and yanks in their neighborhoods, no they don’t, they hold anti zionist and anti US protest all the time, or at least they did until the zionazis clamped down on their protests, now the locals are directing their animosity towards netantahoo and his Government instead.”

For a start the Israelis don’t clamp down on the Druze protesters in occupied Golan, the protests there are largely symbolic and they never get out of control, and SANA news reports on them several times a year every year, and helps orchestrate them to get the best coverage. Only a few dozen protesters according to Reuters, usually there’s at least a hundred or close to a hundred, but that’s out of a total 25,000 Druze living in Golan. Most of the Druze living in occupied Golan are happy to be where they are and don’t really want Israel to return the territory to Syria, they have a much higher standard of living when compared to not just their Syrian counterparts, but also to anyone else in the immediate neighborhood. On top of that they’re no longer persecuted for their religious beliefs while they’re living under Israeli occupation, Druze living in Syria usually still live in huge enclaves for their mutual protection, they’re not popular with the Sunni fundamentalists like Isis. And lastly the war next door, do some research on the Druze living in occupied Golan and try to find out just how many of them really want Israel to return the heights back to Syria, from what I’ve just been reading not many at all, just a few of the really old patriots that still have sentimental feelings for Syria, but if given a real choice now, 95% of the population would probably vote to stay under Israeli occupation.

145,000 Druze live in Israel, 120,000 of them are Israeli citizens and some hold high ranks in the Israeli military, the other 25,000 Druze who live in the Golan heights are still mostly all Syrian citizens, but they still get the same privilege’s and rights that Druze/Israeli citizens do, they even get to vote if they want to, and they can ask for Israeli citizenship if they want it.

Arch Bungle

“I did say Darra, Quneitra, and As Suwayda, and even though the Golan heights is still technically a part of Qunietra, it’s inhabitants live under Israeli law, not Syrian law.”

You are a LIAR. These were your words:

“Try and find any reports on anti Israeli protests in Syria during the last 3 years, you won’t be able to find any,”

And as expected, anti israeli protests in Syria were found, debunking your lie.

As expected, you will continue distorting the truth, multiplying words without understanding.

The rest of your screed is irrelevant – after all, if you cannot get past the first lie, why entertain more of your lies?

Game Over, Liar. You Lose.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The protests you’re using to prove you’re right and I’m wrong takes place in Israeli occupied territory every year and have for decades, they have absolutely nothing at all to do with the current situation in Darra, Quneitra, and As Suwayda, where SF keeps warning us “the situation is spiraling out of control”, they are 2 separate issues and you’re trying to conflate them into one, but they’re not, one is a 50 year old issue concerning Israeli occupation of Golan, and the other a 3 year old issue concerning the activities of Iran in Darra, Quneitra, and As Suwayda. I claimed the locals in Darra, Quneitra and As Suwayda were protesting against the Iranian presence in their neighborhoods and you mocked my assertion with you’re parody, which is totally wrong, the locals in Darra, Quineitra, and as Suwayda aren’t demonstrating in the streets against Israel and America, they’ve been out on the streets protesting about Iran and Hezbollah activities in their neighborhoods, and you’re trying to use the annual Druze memorial protest to justify you’re claim the locals do protest against Israel.

Here’s a link you’ll really love, it shows a different type of protest by the Druze living under Israeli occupation, one day of anti Israeli protest by a few dozen Druze compared to weeklong protests against Assad and Iran, and in this particular case Russia too, and by hundreds if not thousands of Druze living under Israeli occupation, even though they don’t even get a say in Syria’s political affairs.

“Syrians in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights join week-long protests across fence in Sweida. Week-long anti-government protests in the southern Syrian town of Sweida have been met with solidarity demonstrations from Syrian Druze counterparts on the other side of the boundary fence in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Sweida has seen seven days of protests calling for the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, nine years into a devastating civil war. Protesters in the Golan Heights town of Majd al-Shams joined in on Saturday, carrying Syrian opposition flags and shouting anti-Assad slogans.

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/syria-golan-druze-join-protests-against-bashar-assad

You’re link has nothing to do with the current situation in Darra, Quneitra, or As Suywada, my link has EVERYTHING to do with the current situation in Darra Quneitra and As Suwayda.

You’re a propaganda troll and probably don’t realize it, you think I’m the troll but it’s the other way around, I’m trying my very best to help explain why SF keeps saying “the situation in Darra is spiraling out of control”, and all you do is mock me and post TOTALLT IRRELEVENT information that only conflates the real issue at hand, and worse still it’s with an issue that’s 50 years old and has absolutely no relevance to what’s happening now, and you think you’ve won, what have you won, the right to remain ignorant, that’s all. I support the Syrian people and the Syrian Government, who to you support.

Lord save us from stupidity and the LGBTQI movement.

The Objective

Can you provide links to some Syrian opposition news sources, including the ones you hate, please.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I have in another comment I responded to earlier, check for the links there. And I don’t hate any news site really, even the blatant propaganda ones like SF, and Hurriyet, but I admit they do upset me from time to time. All media sites serve some purpose in one way or another, you just have to sift through the sand to get to the gold nuggets, and sometimes the nuggets are easier to find elsewhere, but every now and again the only place to find the nugget is on a sight like SF or Hurriyet News daily, so you have to look through them all and you have to do it all the time, that’s if you want to find as many gold nuggets as you possibly can.

verner

hezbollah and iran should threaten as many jewish officers (and their families) as possible and then actually follow through on the threat. the jews in the borderland are despised by the locals, who, like the rest of the lebanese and the syrians, wish the jews to reside at quite another location – like hell since the contemporaneous thinking in the borderland is that the jews are thieves and murderers and, for the sake of peace and prosperity for all those living in the borderland, must be obliterated to dust!

The General is ‘dead man walking’ … idle threats aren’t made by the IDF

The Syrian border with Israel was the quietest … ever since 1982 … the Assad Crime Family learned their place … and did not challenge Israel … eh?

In the months prior to the outbreak of Operation Cast Lead in late December 2008 … Turkey had nearly brokered a Syria/Israel peace deal … BUT they were NEVER renewed … eh?

Luckily … no deal was made … phew

Can you imagine … Hezbollah on the Golan Heights …. Jihadis/Islamists in charge of that strategic ‘high ground’?

I attended a lecture given by the Israeli team member negotiating that deal … eh?

Timing is everything …

What are you going to do when we come for you Syrian bastards? you want to help Hezbollah against us o nthe border? you will die along with them.

Arch Bungle

“You’re” “coming” for nobody anytime soon.

“You” are going to keep taking useless potshots like you have for the last decade, blowing up desert sand and decoys to no effect.

Because if you ever get the dumb idea of a land invasion of Syria you’re going to get canned and shipped home like kosher pork, like you did in Bint Jbeil 2006.

<>

2006 was a small operation, we talk about real war here buddy. And trust me, you don’t want 700,000 IDF troops in a full war.

Arch Bungle

You can’t get a small operation right.

You’re bound to screw up a big operation too.

700 000 idf casulaties will be fun to see. I break out the popcorn.
