The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have doxed and threatened a low ranking officer of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 90th Brigade for allegedly cooperating with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
In a Facebook post published on November 25, IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee claimed that the officer, Cpt. Bashar al-Hussein, had been working closely with Haj Hashim, Hezbollah’s top commanders in southern Syria, and his son Jawad Hashim, who is responsible for the SAA’s 7th Division sector in the region.
Adraee said that Cpt. al-Hussein is the commander of the 90th Brigade reconnaissance company and a resident of Akrama neighborhood in the central Syrian city of Homs.
“The IDF is closely observing what is happening on the other side of the border and is monitoring anyone who tries to harm the security of the State of Israel and its citizens,” Lt. Col. Adraee said. “The Syrian regime bears responsibility for all activities that are conducted on its territory against the State of Israel.”
This was not the first Israeli threat to Cpt. al-Hussein. In October, the IDF dropped leaflets over al-Quneitra with threats to the SAA officer.
The Israeli threats to Cpt. al-Hussein, who is just doing his job as the commander of a reconnaissance company, are not surprising. The IDF has been attempting to intimidate officers and officials in southern Syria for a while now.
On October 16, the IDF assassinated Medhat al-Saleh, director of the Golan Affairs Office in the Syrian government and a former member of the parliament, in al-Quneitra. Al-Saleh was allegedly involved in Syrian intelligence operations inside Israel.

Well – that´s the thing with the bloody Russians – they stick to their alliances and to their word. Reliability and integrity always pays of in the long term. But I can easily point out countries to which your assessment fits. Just take a look in the Western direction and pick any country you like.

Sigh. I’m losing hope. I have backed off Israel the past 3 years after going through an anti zionist phase. Yes, I am aware of Zionism, Al Yanon plan etc. But i don’t go on a “blame the jews” rant like some fools do. However, Seeing weekly reports of them bombing Syria, and the world literally doing nothing, due to media blackouts has gotten me to the conclusion that Israel WANTS war and will continue until it starts WW3.
