The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on May 2 that it had removed the remains of another intercepted Iranian ballistic missile from the Ye’elim stream, close to the town of Arad, in southern Israel.
The remnants were lifted out of the area by crane and moved to another location, where the Fire and Rescue Services removed any hazardous materials, the IDF said in a brief statement, adding that the remnants were taken to an army base to be further examined after they were deemed safe.
The missile was one of 120 fired at Israel in the Iranian attack on April 13-14, which was carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a response to an Israeli strike that targeted the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital, Damascus, at the start of the month. The ballistic missiles used in the attack were reportedly of the Emad, Ghadr-110, Kheibar Shekan and Shahab-3B types.
In addition to these ballistic missiles, some 170 suicide drones and 30 cruise missiles were launched during the large-scale attack.
Israel claimed that 99% of the Iranian projectiles were intercepted by the IDF with help from American, British, French and Jordanian forces. The number included all the suicide drones and cruise missiles.
Nevertheless, it was revealed later that nine ballistic missiles hit two air bases in the south of the country and another projectile landed in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
Israel responded to the Iranian missile and drone attack on April 13 by attacking the 8th Shekari Air Base near the city of Isfahan using ballistic missiles launched by warplanes from over the Syrian border with Jordan and Iraq as well as small suicide drones that were allegedly launched from within Iranian territory. An air defense site within the base was allegedly hit.
This was the second time the IDF removed missile remnants from the Ye’elim stream near Arad. The first was found by hikers several days after the Iranian attack. Both missiles found so far appear to be from the Ghadr-110. It is unclear however if the missiles were indeed intercepted as the IDF claimed.

“israel responded … by attacking the 8th shekari air base near the city of isfahan using ballistic missiles launched by warplanes” so much for escobar’s ridiculous story about nukes; he really is just hot air….
indeed, he got fed a story and pushed it immediately, claiming a scoop. he still stands by it, although it makes no strategic sense at all. if anything, israel could hit natanz with conventional weapons, like ukraine does with zaporozhie.
it’s just the booster, not the warhead.
