On May 15, the Israeli military knocked down another tower in the Gaza Strip after a deadly rocket attack on Tel Aviv and its outskirts.
The rocket attack was carried out by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, in response to a recent Israeli strike on al-Shati Camp. Ten people, including right children, were killed in the strike.
At least 30 rockets were fired from Gaza at Tel Aviv and its outskirts. Many were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. However, several impacts were reported.
Two rockets hit Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv. A man was killed and several others were injured, according to several Israeli sources. The man was the ninth casualty of Palestinian rocket fire.

The Israeli military responded by targeting al-Jala Tower in Gaza City. The tower, which used to host offices for major news agencies including al-Jazeera and AP, was leveled to the ground by multiple precision strikes.
No casualties were reported as a result of the strikes as the Israeli military warned the tower’s residents a hour ahead. The tower was fully evacuated.
