The Israeli Air Force conducted a second round of missiles strikes on Syria in less than a week.

Late on September 2, Israeli warplanes launched missiles at the T4 airport in the province of Homs. According to Syria’s state media, the strikes were conducted from the direction of the US-controlled zone of al-Tanf on the Syrian-Iraqi border. Syrian pro-government sources claimed that a large part of the missiles was intercepted. The impact of the strikes remains unclear.

The T4 airport is well known as the operational base of Iranian-backed forces and as a logistical hub for Iranian supplies moving to Syria. At various times, Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles, including combat ones, were also deployed there.

The most recent previous Israeli strike on Syria took place on August 31 targeting the countryside of Damascus city and the province of Daraa. At that time, the Syrian side confirmed that at least 2 people had been killed and 7 others injured. Local sources also claimed that the strike had allegedly destroyed 4 air defense systems. This data remains unconfirmed.

The Israeli strikes came amid a new round of tensions in southern Idlib. As Turkey and Russia conduct tactical drills simulating the repelling of attacks on their patrols on the M4 highway, the Syrian Army and Turkish-backed militants exchanged strikes south of the area.

On September 2nd and 3rd, the Syrian Army shelled militant positions near Kafar Aweed and Baluon in southern Idlib, and al-Salaf in northern Lattakia. Pro-militant sources claim that the strikes hit civilian targets only. However, this is hardly believable as these areas are full of fortifications, including underground ones, created by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its al-Qaeda-linked allies.

Earlier, several Syrian soldiers were reportedly killed or injured in a series of militant attacks in the southern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone. Most likely this together with regular attacks on joint Turkish-Russian patrols on the M4 forced the Syrian Army to return to more active measures for implementing the ceasefire on the contact line.

The security situation still remains conflicted along the Palmyra-Deir Ezzor highway and in the countryside of al-Mayadin. Over the past days, the Syrian Army, the National Defense Forces and Iranian-backed militias have conducted several raids against ISIS cells hiding in the desert. Nonetheless, these raids did not lead to a breakthrough in the fight against the terrorist group. Its members continue planting IEDs, ambushing convoys and assassinating people in the area. According to pro-militant sources, over 100 pro-government fighters were killed or went missing in western and southern Deir Ezzor in late August alone.

According to Syria and Russia, terrorists use the US-controlled areas on the eastern bank of the Euphrates and in al-Tanf as a foothold for attacks on Syrian troops. As long as this thorn remains in place, attacks will continue.

brothers in conspiracy

JIMI JAMES

Orthodoxy not that any vile feminazi trolls got a clue about countering the cia/vermins:

MADE MAKER

When will SYRIA use those S-300 they got from RUSSIA

AJ

The fact they have never been used suggests Syria does not have control over them but Russia does.

Fog of War

Makes you wonder whats the point then ?

Alekai Mordechai

Also makes you wonder of whats the point of blunt airstrikes then?

If one thinks dropping more bombs on sands, gives you a good chair in negotiation table. You are seriously mistaken.

Bibi is playing everyone!!

<>

It will only get worse for the SAA.

Alekai Mordechai

Yes, ISIS will be unleashed once more.

Thinking of it, SAA has been taking casualty in many fronts. From ISIS, SDF, Al Nusra. et all.

How different is israeli strikes compared to other attacks?

How can you tell its israeli air attacks in general? It can be Saudis, Emiratis or even Kuwaitis.

<>

Only we are determined enough to hit Iranian positions in Syria, which btw the SAA helps them to give more weapons to Hezbollah. Last airstrike targeted advanced AD systems from Iran to Hezbollah according to the news sites, and it was on Syrian soil and you can’t tell me they don’t know about it. They work with Iran, that’s the price to pay.

Alekai Mordechai

You don’t understand the basic equation of Iran-Assad-Hezbollah triangle.

SAA have been helping Iran since 2000. Its nothing new!! The relations won’t change, even if change the frequency of the bomb droppings.

Whereas, these airstrikes can only for mass consumption?

I wouldn’t be waiting if were you. I would have gone to the border to see things for myself and be the judge of my own.

chris chuba

One of the bad effects this has is that this normalizes Israel’s unprovoked, aggression against neighboring countries. When Syria finally does respond they will Caterwaul on FOX as if New Jersey was just bombed and ignore the 3,000 previous attacks by Israel. Those idiots already do this now when they talk about Iran hijacking a British tanker as if the British did nothing to provoke it and that was only a few weeks after the U.K. pirated their ship at Gibraltar.

<>

The SAA helps Iran and Hezbollah against us, thus they will be punished and their soldiers will die aswell. For now, it’s only 2 airstrikes a week, but if we want to speed things up we can bomb them everyday and they can’t do anything against it. It’s only up to us how much we want to push Iran out of Syria, and how many Syrian or Hezbollah members will die at the process. If they air campaign doesn’t reach its objective, there is always the option of the ground operation and believe me, you don’t wanna see 100K IDF troops coming for you.

AJ

Air strikes are easier for Israel as there’s little risk to their own people but a ground invasion would prove costly even to them.

<>

We won’t hesitate to do it, same as we are ready to start it in Lebanon if Hezbollah mistakenly thinks they can kill one of our guys and seal the deal between us. No buddy, Lebanon will go back to look like it was after the Civil War back in the 90’s. I suggest the SAA to stop helping Hezbollah and host them in their posts, and stop the weapon shipments to Lebanon. Bibi can and will start a war incase he is convicted.

Rhodium 10

Israel army is nothing vs militia well armed, trained and motivated…we have seen it vs Hezbollah and vs Hamas….of course they defeated Syrian and Egipt regular armies….but everybody know that Arabs conscript armies are jokes…look at Saudi Army and Syrian army both flee when heard the sounds of explosions around them

<>

Maybe we will find it out soon.

Rhodium 10

IDF has already verified it many years in Lebanon…

<>

There is a great difference between an operation and a staying of 17 years. In an operation we are not responsible for the population under our area.

Alekai Mordechai

This mentality has done a immense damage to israel’s image.

tzatz

Israel’s image?

With whom? lol

Alekai Mordechai

With every one.

tzatz

For 2000 Years … the Jews were murdered / killed / thrown out of countries / businesses stolen / homes lost et al

NO HUMAN RIGHTS GROUPS or Internet bloggers to support them … eh?

Alekai Mordechai

Yep none at all.

Let me know same were afforded for others too ……. like thousand years ago.

tzatz

The Jewish People are the ONLY ancient People who have been restored to their HOMELAND … eh?

NO OTHER group … was forced out of their indigenous lands and were restored to them … NONE

The Jewish People were restored …

The Jewish People had to defend themselves against all odds …

The Jewish People succeeded and have prospered …

next

Alekai Mordechai

A lot of indigenous people are either extinct were forced out. Yes Jews are only one.

In that regards, you should join us in Israel.

tzatz

I lived in Israel for 2 Years … made my life in Canada

Alekai Mordechai

Israel not good enough?

tzatz

Huh?

Alekai Mordechai

Should’ve stayed in israel. That was what I am trying to say.

tzatz

No … I left and made my life elsewhere …. no regrets …. frankly my wife and I were scheduled to volunteer in Israel from June 2020 but Covid stopped that … probably for good …

Israel is the Jewish State but I’m comfortable in Canada

Alekai Mordechai

Your last sentence did not make sense.

You’re not a Jewish then?

And ‘probably for good”? you serious? Jewish State mean friends can’t come?

Alekai Mordechai

Canada is quite Pro-Palestinian.

Met many in Canada. I would say israel gets a bad rep.

Especially after one Ottawa incident, where JDL activists vandalized a woman’s restaurant, where she showed Palestinian flag.

Honestly, it was upsetting. I am against this BLM type mentality.

tzatz

That was Toronto …

Alekai Mordechai

Quite a show-down went there.

Made quite a few people happy.

tzatz

Laughable … Nasrallah isn’t laughing

In 2006 … Nasrallah squealed for a ceasefire … and stayed he would never have started a war if he knew the tragic results for Lebanon …

next

tzatz

They did conquer Lebanon and hold it for Y E A R S … eh?

Icarus Tanović

As soon as you lost your nerves and get in duel with me, you will find out soon.

<>

I already told you about that, whoever wants me can come meet me here.

Icarus Tanović

And I told you to pick up neutral ground.

<>

Which I won’t, do you want to keep repeating it?

Icarus Tanović

Because you are coward. Pick up neutral ground.

<>

Stop barking you piece of shit, I’ve had enough of you. Face me here or shut the fuck up.

Icarus Tanović

Are you scared?

tzatz

Boastful bs …

Alekai Mordechai

Have been following these strikes over last 2 years. Here’s what I’ve found:

1) Israel surely increased its frequency of its strikes as months passed.

2) But each strikes are predictable in some shape or form.

3) If anyone noticed, strikes takes place on 23rd or 25th of a specific month. Or within the first 5 days fn the next month.

4) There are news flash saying, Syrian government spokes person says, ”countered all the enemy missiles” and rest of the damages are ”material”. Mostly over Damascus (apparently, most strikes happen in or near Damascus)

5) On the other hand, 9 to 12 deaths are reported with every strikes. And these numbers comes from Syria Observatory of Human Right Monitory. All are ”non-syrians”

6) Another months passes and another strikes and another death count of similar range…… consistent with previous numbers.

7) Whereas, on the ground SAA still engages with ISIS elements and other Turkish backed militants. SDF militants and US patrol goes back and forth, And Russian patrols hinders US patrols and vice versa.

8) There’s something very unusual about these events. Almost like a choreograph.

9) We must be missing a big piece of puzzle.

Many israelis aren’t cheering these strikes. Even tho majority wants subdued and bloodied Syria and Lebanon. It will take more than 100k soldiers to make any change.

The Objective

SANA reports casualties and damages. The SOHR doesn’t have to be Syrians for their reports to be valid. They have intelligence on the ground in Syria. You are trying to sell us on the idea that Iran and Hezbollah suffer no serious harm in these attack. Your effort is aimed at bolstering their fading public image. But you fail to name any reputable source confirming this claim. Many should know by now that the resistance axis is boxed-up in a corner. They’re fighting to survive Trump’s onslaught. No more tough like before.

Alekai Mordechai

SANA also reports casualties of terror events in Syria too. But they have a more credible video feed of those attacks, mainly by showing the aftermaths.

I’ve been hearing about this SOHR and their ground based ”reliable” intel for long. In hindsight, their account of casualties seems quite consistent, along with the attacks itself. Now it seems too good to be true.

I used to believe that Hezbollah and Iran is severely harmed in every attacks. But more I see and delve into, more I find some sort of inconsistencies. If these attacks makes israelis happy, then who am I to judge? But, Hezbollah seemed to be more bold for some reason. Which is unusual!!

Listen, I am for security for every one in the region. Everybody has right to survive and thrive, Israelis are no different. I hope peace comes, but thinking subverting and obliterating others ain’t going to help both sides. It might just exacerbate killings.

A proper deal should be made in multilateral manner.

<>

My point is, airstrikes are only good to some limit. If we really want to remove Iran, then we need boots on the other side of the Golan and to clean the border area. It must be done with Russia, and they need to respect our national security risks that come from Syria.

Alekai Mordechai

Air strikes are limited. To the point of ineffectiveness.

I have always said this, boots on the ground MIGHT solve some problems. But at what extent?

What I can surmise, its Hezbollah who you wanna fight right? Iran is there but how can anyone identify who is an Iranian in Syria? a country 185,182 km2 with people from all over the world fought and fighting since 2013?

In fact Russians boots are in Golan to do just that …… but in a different way. To stop israeli infiltration in the area and stop aid to anti Assad groups.

Russia respects your national security. For that you have to accept Assad as Syria’s de facto ruler. And netanyahu has accepted that!!

No need to worry about Russian side of bargain.

StopIsraeliGenocideInPalestine

Yeah – see you in the old and new Capital Auschwitz.

You just got yourself a good block, don’t bother to reply.

<>

Only you think like that, How are we Nazis? explain. Do we gas the Palestinians? do we mass murder them? do we line them up and shoot them? on the contrary, they shoot rockets on us and we give them supplies into Gaza so they won’t starve. Read more about it and see the facts.

tzatz

Icarus Tanović

<>

When do you come?

chris chuba

Iran and Hezbollah have not bombed Israel so what business does Israel have bombing Syria to chase Iran/Hezbollah out of Syria? They only entered Syria to fight ISIS but now Iran has to help Syria build up their missile forces so that Syria can eventually deter Israeli bombing. Syria is acting purely in self-defense.

To me it looks like Israel’s strategy is to gut every neighboring Arab state and then rely on trade w/the U.S., EU, China and maybe a few Gulf states for their economic needs. This is short sighted.

Fog of War

” To me it looks like Israel’s strategy is to gut every neighboring Arab state ” Of course ” Greater Israhell ” demands it.

tzatz

Israel is in complete control …

tzatz

BS … you’re a complete moron

ro.niccolosi

I don’t doubt that their are honourable IDF soldiers in your midst, but without the US industrial complex and it’s support, while putin is turning a blind eye, israel would be in tremendous trouble. Even if it were the most self-sacraficing force in the middle-east

<>

Ofcourse the U.S helps us alot, but in the end it’s the IDF guys like me that fight on the groun with our own blood to protect our country. Do I want war? No, but if I must fight then so be it.

ro.niccolosi

I’ll take your word for it, if you’ll take mine that not all your fellow soldiers and politicians share your opinion

<>

I agree, my views are sometimes a bit radical but I don’t see how we can have peace with terrorists. Ofcourse, innocent civilians should be out of it but in a war it’s almost impossible, especially when the other side shoots rockets at Israeli centers.

ro.niccolosi

the beginning of peace is finding common ground amongst your enemies, and I think we just managed to do that in some way

<>

Well you are not my enemy, I try not to take the comments here too seriously but sometimes i can’t help myself. I want Iran and Hezbollah to stop trying to hurt Israelis, if they need more airstrikes to understand it betetr then so be it.

ro.niccolosi

But as someone neutral as from now to your person, I can tell you, that the threats go both ways, and like in jewish scripture is the tradition (I know your secular and have nothing to do with these psychotic sects), it’s not eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, but seven eyes for a jewish eye, seven teeth for a jewish tooth. I’m not making this stuff up

<>

Then maybe our enemies need to stop harming us, for a start the Palestinian can sit and discuss Trump’s peace plan so we can make changes. They are like little kids, but blame Israel for all their problems. the UAE was smart enough to see their lies.

ro.niccolosi

I think for some people (including me) it’s very hard to make deals, let alone peace plans, with jewish culture. Since history shows us that every allie of the jewish people gets fucked in the end. Let me paraphrase myself, because I don’t want to offend you, whilst I highly likely will. I’m not talking about secular israeli’s, but the ideology of judaism. It’s not some anti-semitic canard, it’s proven time and time again history repeats itselve and their are some dark forces amongst your midst

ro.niccolosi

Let me add to this comment that the most extraordinary people I know, are jews who could see past this and have chosen the secular (at least not supermacist) side of humanity. Maybe one day you’ll be one of these extraordinary individuals. In contrast to some, I want peace amongst all peoples. The issue is, their are a lot of jews who think they are above humanity, and this is something I cannot tolerate. Not because he’s a jew, I wouldn’t tolerate it from a asian, african, european or american either

Fog of War

” I’m not talking about secular israeli’s, but the ideology of judaism. ”

So you’re saying Jews are a race ? How could there be a ” secular ” Jew ? Is that like an atheist Catholic ?

ro.niccolosi

Like I said many times before, I’m not into racial theories. Judaism is an ideology, a tendency of the mind to me

ro.niccolosi

I’m afraid it’s too late for perhaps for both sides to ever reconcile the this conflict in particular…. Too much has happened in the last 80 years to ever get a peace deal with the palestinians… And my impression is that the israeli side isn’t intrested in peacedeals either…

<>

Depends which politician here, Bibi most definitely not.

ro.niccolosi

Seems we can agree upon something more. I think most of the knesset is corrupt to the core imo. But than again, so is the E.U., US Congress/White house and kremlin

ro.niccolosi

How can we get in contact in private without sharing it with the world? I’m very interested to learn more about your perspective of reality, and I don’t doubt you are interested in understanding mine

ro.niccolosi

Just for info, do you identify more as an israeli or a jew? In case of the latter, nvm

<>

Israeli.

ro.niccolosi

Who is terrorist and who is not is a matter of perspective. It’s very difficult to make a distinction between patriots, internationally recognized armies, paid mercenaries, militias, intelligence agencies and terrorists. My opinion, daesh, al-nusra, CIA, mossad, MI6, NATO and the elite of the international banking en mass-media cartel are terrorists in the very essence of the word. While for example IDF, SAA and the US army are not (but each have terrorists in their ranks, rest assured)

We should stop over-simplifying the world and geopolitics for that matter, because reality is a very, very complicated structure of social dynamics with unpredictable ramifications. And it takes years of diligent/zealous, even passionate academic study to understand it merely partially.

Concrete Mike

And your jabhat al nusrahs air force, you should be ashamed!!!

<>

I don’t support HTS a bit, they are like Hamas for me Mike.

ro.niccolosi

HTS is a turkish psyop, not an israeli one

Icarus Tanović

It’s both.

ro.niccolosi

Under the umbrella of NATO, possibily yes

tzatz

Hedging ? What a loser

<>

It’s mostly made of reserves like me, so that is why I’m writing down here I wait for my order.

Alekai Mordechai

I guess you’re willing to fight russians right?

<>

I will fight anyone who threats our national security, Russia is not doing it at the moment so I have no issue with them. If and when it comes to that, we will talk.

ro.niccolosi

Fighting for your country and fighting for rothshild controlled puppets like bibi are two very different things, don’t you forget that

As long as this thorn stays in place attacks will continue, you can say that again, its not rocket science, but nothing is being done to extract that thorn, and more Syrian soldiers die, same with the Idlib so called deconfliction zone, the terrorists kill SAA soldiers every day,it will continue.

Fog of War

Alright, lets hear the excuses why retaliation wont happen. I’m curious what new ones the folks here come up with.

Alekai Mordechai

Do you trust these news of air-strikes?

I have started questioning them. After all, these news comes from Syrian government with usual deadlines of ”countering/ countered strikes from occupied Golan” and ”material damage” have become a recurring key words, and dates have become fixed too.

Fog of War

So Syria is lying about getting attacked ?

Alekai Mordechai

Could be. All in order to shore up sympathy!! There could be multiple country which can carry out attacks, not necessarily israel. These attacks doesn’t correspond with IDF’s unpredictability. It will be fool hardy for IAF to keep attacking the same facility over and over.

Dunno, Assad gained a lot after Russian interventions. And these scheduled airstrikes aren’t enough to shake a war sticken broken Syria. SAA keeps fighting to its northern frontier, Iran backed fighters (aka SAA) keeps fighting on their behalf.

Either Assad is playing others or Russians are doing something truly uncanny.

Fog of War

Fair enough, but I dont think Assad posses the ” free agency ” you ascribe to him. For instance , theres an older video of Putin making the rounds in Syria at a military base. I beleive Putin was talking to a group of soliders when Assad tried to walk up next to him. He was immedately held back by Russian troops and prevented from doing so. That doesnt sound like an equitable relationship to me.

Alekai Mordechai

Relations are not equal when it comes to basing your soldiers in far flung countries.

In conclusion, we can expect airstrikes and same headlines either in 25th of September or 1st week of October. Don’t wait for it, the news will come to you.

At the same time Hezbollah and Iran will be opening and closing doors as usual.

johnny rotten

Fear is becoming an obsession for israhell, they know that the SAA will finish the work with the terrorists, the americunts will leave and then it will be their turn, for this they try to provoke Syria to war, cowards as they are they do not want to waste the only one opportunity that has remained on the field, to fight against Syria together with their terrorist friends hoping to drag the US empire outlawed, time is on Syria’s side and the fucking European settlers who pretend to be Jews know it and are terrified of it, nothing else can explain these stupid and useless but repeated attacks.

Alekai Mordechai

SAA should focus on gaining its own lost territory rather than lofty ambitions.

Saudis and Sunnis in Gulf have israelis for a reason.

Icarus Tanović

Israel and Zionists are oppressing entire world openly or secretly.

Tommy Jensen

Next time Israel do it again, Assad will get S-300.

Alekai Mordechai

These strikes aren’t doing much.

Assad won’t do anything. His main aim is to get back Northern Syria from Turks.

These strikes are predictable.

Potato Man

Anyone have a map which show locations of the S-300s in Syria? Or the Iranian ones? If Turkey right with what they said about S-400, S-300 can also hit F-16 and such… Houthis shot down Saudi fighter jet, SAA can just try to hit them just to scare Zion state…One thing for sure we all know Zion scare and weak on the ground (2006). Syria can do it why they don’t?

Jens Holm

I dont understand the fuss.

It has been routine since 1948 and for exact the same reasons.

A lot seemes to remaon as deep selfcreat dark for many here. The S400s are Russian stiff paid by Russia for self defence and not protection for Iranians and Hesbollah as well as the Syrian little helpers for them.

It referred to a Victory in 2006. But is that comparable. I dont think so. Was it as Victory. Thats a relative. Deep digged Hesbollah to be compared with a heavy populated Damaskus Emirate makes no sense at all.

Comparing with an Israelien invasion makes no sense. It so stupid. Anyone can see its not even needed. I see that kind of stupidisme about Iran and USA too. Why should USA risk a single life if thats not needed. Id USA really attacked Iran, Iran would loose infrastructure, so they – so to speak – would loose hands, legs and probatly some of the small infected brains, they have.

And finally I am sure Israel are not even allowed to attack Damaskus by the Russians.

Assads are not commanders of the Russian army. If do the Damaskus area probatly had no infrastructure. I am not Israel, but it would make a lot of sense to eliminate or reduce all supplylines such as bridgets, roads, trains, electricity and water – irrigation too.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The US have practically built an iron wall to keep isis from crossing into their territory from Iranian held southern Deir ez Zor, and Isis only attacks Homs from southern Deir ez Zor, they don’t attack Deir ez Zor from Homs. Only syrialiveuamaps accurately shows the areas Isis actually operates from, and it’s always Iranian held territory. Find out what Sunni children in Iranian held Deir ez Zor have to learn in the Iranian run schools now, that’s if you really want to know the real reason Isis is becoming so strong there, the Sunnis are treated like second class citizens in their own country and they really resent it, which means Isis has been getting plenty of recruits while Iran has been running southern Deir ez Zor.
